Mortal Kombat X Will Punish You for Rage Quitting.
You may be playing against a really, really infuriatingly tough opponent online in Mortal Kombat X, but it's not advised to quit the match in a fit of rage.
Developers at NetherRealm studios explained how they plan to punish rage quitters.
"If you quit, your head blows up and the other guy wins," they simply stated.
In case you'd like to maintain a decent average, it sounds like you might be better off sticking out even the toughest fights.

Faction Kills are Fatalities, all performed during the ‘FINISH HIM’ segment of a fight. They are all performed from the generic ‘Far’ distance.

• Smoke’s Revenge: Smoke, in human form, appears and then dashes toward the opponent, slicing off the top of their head.

• Shuriken Storm: Throwing stars stylized as Lin Kuei symbols bombard the opponent's chest before a final star makes the finishing blow to the face.

You start Mortal Kombat X with one Fatality and one Brutality for each default character. You must discover the remaining Fatalities and Brutalities by performing them at the end of a match or unlocking them in the Krypt. If you perform a Fatality or Brutality before you unlock it in the Krypt, it will automatically unlock. You can also perform Fatalities in the Fatality Practice mode before they've been unlocked. Just perform the new Fatality instead of the one listed on-screen.

Fatalities must be performed from a specific distance away from your opponent:
•Close - Stand right next to the opponent.
•Mid-Screen - Stand about three character lengths from the opponent.
•Full Screen - Stand on the opposite side of the screen from the opponent.

Note: In some cases it's easier to hold Block while performing the directional inputs for a Fatality. For example, if the Fatality is Forward, Back, Forward, Up 3 it may be easier to hold Block, press Forward, Back, Forward, Up release Block, then press 3.

Check the Brutality Section for all Brutality moves of all characters.

Stage Fatalities are always executed at close range.
You should be right next to your opponent. However Mortal Kombat X is the first Mortal Kombat game to introduce additional positioning conditions.

Stage Fatalities will always work in the middle of the arena, no matter whether your opponent is facing the center or the corner.

Brutalities are visceral finish moves that, unlike Fatalities, are performed before the official end of a match. They are executed like a normal special attack when your opponent is near death, but instead of reaching the "Finish Him/Her" screen, the attack will kill the player outright and end the fight immediately.

The Stage Brutalities are enabled by the May 15 patch.

Outworld Marketplace

First Blanche Brutality
The First Blanche Brutality is a finishing move performed on the Outworld Marketplace stage. To use the Blanche Brutality, you must first strike your opponent using the brazer and barrel background object during the final round of a match, then deliver the final blow with Blanche from mid-range.

Second Blanche Brutality Do the same as above, except hold Down to perform the second Blanche Brutality.

Dead Woods Brutality

The Dead Woods Brutality requires a player to use the background elements of the Dead Woods to defeat their opponent.
The player must first execute a successful attack with the club branch on the left and the swinging branch above the center of the stage, both within the final round of the match. The player must then throw the small log on the right hand of the stage from mid-to-far range. The log must be the finishing blow.

Quan Chi's Fortress Brutality

Hammer Time :P
The final hit must be with Shao Khans hammer......use two interactives to activate.
Final hit must come from the Hammer on the right side of the map

Kove Brutality

This finisher can be performed in The Kove stage and involves the dead body that occasionally rises up from the tide.
this one is quite simple to pull off. All you have to do is hold forward when you trow the body as a final hit and the Brutality will activate.

Kove uppercut brutality
During final round: - uppercut while holding 3+4 (or switch stance) when opponent's health at/below 10% - does not work on training stage version of The Kove
The player hits the others head of while the body fly's in the sea.

Lin Kuei Temple

During final round: - hold fwd while throwing fire torch when opponent's health at/below 10% - at/behind edge of sweep

  - In the Dragon Fangs variation, kill the opponent with the Dragon Spin (Down, Back+2+Block), but only the third hit of the Dragon Spin can connect, the first two hits have to miss the opponent.

  - In the Tiger Fury variation, stand close to the opponent and kill them with the Dragon Torch (Back, Forward+2+Block), holding 2 during the attack animation.
