Command Training Stance Transitions
By Zippy and 1 collaborators
Some moves require prerequisite moves to transition into other stances, but unfortunately, the game doesn't tell you how to preform these transitions. This guide should help you complete the Command Training, if you are having trouble.

Intro
We will use the Numpad notation for describing directions in this guide. You probably have a numpad on your keyboard, but if you don't, it looks like this:

The arrows represent directions. For example, the Konami code (↑↑↓↓←→←→BA Start) would be written as: "88224646BA Start"

The numbers are as if you were facing right (You are on the left side, your opponent on the right), if you're facing left, preform the reverse of the number (Reverse "7" is "9").
Other commands:
  • Punch: P
  • Kick: K
  • Throw: T
  • Hold: H
  • Heavy Punch: P+K
  • Heavy Kick: H+K
  • Hold down button Ex.: Hold Punch: (P)

I used this forum post[www.gamefaqs.com] for the first DOA 5, I checked the commands, and they all seem to work, I also added the moves for characters like Honoka, Rachel or Nyotengu, that were added since, but if you spot a mistake or if I forgot anything, tell me in the comments so I will be able to fix it. Also, thanks to Gao Li for helping me with things I forgot (like Jacky), since I probably wouldn't have noticed without him as well as Shaw Fujikawa for suggesting the new title.

i remember how i tried to complete training with Hayabusa, there is a move which can be done only with back to foe, and i didn't even know how to turn him XD

To be fair though, several of these aren't stance transitions per se. Tenku, for example, is when Momiji is in the air. I found the title adequate and "prerequisite" is often used in Street Fighter and such. Anyway, the new title is good.

Yeah, you've got a point. I planned on finding a better name for it, but never got around to it. Thanks.
Shaw Fujikawa 30 Dec, 2016 @ 5:05am
I feel the title would be more accurately put as 'stance transitions' rather than 'prerequisites' because I had no idea what this thread was about until about a minute after I started reading it.

@Zippy_62 In order to get →↘↓↙← Ⓣ, you cannot do 624. I tried. it doesn't work, the game won't register it.
