Introduction
This guide was specifically designed to help with the data bank achievement and help with some general facts/traits of these animals and plants. Mostly plants. Each section is format as follows.
Location
(Screenshot)
Appearance
Behavior
Grass
Location
Grass is everywhere...
Appearance
It looks like grass
Jerkweed
Location
This is the first plant you are ever shown. If you start at tele-router 1 and turn right, it is the spiky plant in the ground.
Appearance
It is a bit spiky, with the spikes being pink. It has a large green bulb underneath the ground making up most of it's size.
Cactoid
Location
When leaving the start position at tele-router 1, it is the to the right of the first ledge.
Appearance
It looks like a rounded short and stubby large cactus
Star Tree
Location
Pretty much the entirety of the overworld map. You probably did something wrong if you can't see it.
Appearance
Massive plant-like organism. Grows large flowers and elastic-leaves.
Fractus
Location
It is on top of the first ledge after tele-router 1 to the left.
Appearance
It looks like a large, stereotypical cactus. It has detachable limbs, that are supposed to be scanned in a tele-router.
Gourdle
Location
Found on the starting island near the eastern shore.
Appearance
It looks like a very large pumpkin in varying sizes.
Champignon
Location
The Champignon can be found right next to tele-router 5.
Appearance
It looks like a small greyish brown mushroom.
Plumin
Location
This can be found in the cave on the first large island (tele-router 4)
Appearance
It's a green leafed plant with 4 square pyramid like pink flowers stacked on top of each other
Palmapple
Location
This can be found on the waterfall island just off of tele-router 6
Appearance
It looks like an upside down yellow pear that grows on top of the palm trees
Gradish
Location
These can be found every where but the easiest for me was around tele-router 7
Appearance
They look like a simple flower, pink petals and white center.
Snapdragon
Location
All of snowy/dusty locations.
Appearance
Looks like a large venus fly trap plant with spikes on the flaps.
The Snapdragon
Behavior
Will attack any living thing that steps inside of it's pedals. Sometimes spawns with ??? inside. Will occasionally kill the Arctic Meep. Don't let that happen.
???
Location
There are several locations where you can find ???, but I found mine on the small island below tele-router 7
Appearance
It looks like a blue pearl, that's it...
Crott
Location
The first main island tele-router 4
Appearance
The look like big fat carrots hence the name Crott
Snip
Location
Found in the same area as the worm. This is on the second large island tele-router 6
Also found in Torro's cave.
Appearance
It hangs from the ceiling and looks kinda like a stalactite
Snarkgrass
Location
I found this by teleporting to the first tele-router then going left hugging the wall until I came across it
Appearance
It looks exactly like the Jerkweed but the spikes are red.
Pink Gradish
Location
I found this in the same place as the Gradish next to tele-router 7
Appearance
Look exactly like a normal Gradish but has a yellow center
Fuchsia Gourdle
Location
Right next to tele-router 5
Appearance
It is a pink version of the Gourdle
Meep
Location
It is found on the first main island before the stone arch to the east.
Appearance
It looks like a wool bearing sheep of the white variety
Behavior
The Meep creature will run away from the player, running around. They will occasionally eat the plants near them (e.g. Gourdle)
Warble
Location
It is found inside a cave on the first main floating island (teleporter 4) that the star tree grows through.
The entrance
The interior
Appearance
It appears to be a large flightless bird. Specifically a dodo bird.
Behavior
If you approach the Warble, it will just stand there. It will sit there and be useless. If you bring it to the first island or bring it a meep, it will follow that sheep, like a guardian.
Warble following a meep
Grubble
Location
It is found on the large waterfall island, inside a blocked cave near the stream. Behind those rocks lies a grubble.
The cave
Appearance
The Grubble looks like a large green worm. It also has the ability to glow.
A Grubble glowing at night
Behavior
The grubble will normally just sit there, but will occasionally bounce around.
Gold Plumed Warble (Golden Warble)
Location
The Gold Plumed Warble is located in a small crevice on the large island with a waterfall, near the tele-router.
The crevice
Appearance
The Golden Plumed Warble looks exactly like the regular warble, but has a golden color and spikes on its head.
Behavior
It behaves exactly like the regular warble.
Arctic Meep
Location
The Arctic sheep lives on a floating island past the seventh tele-router.
The island
Appearance
The Arctic Meep looks exactly like the regular Meep, except has black fur and has horns, probably making it male.
The Arctic Meep
Behavior
It behaves exactly like a regular Meep.
Torro (not in DataBank)
Location
Underneath the large waterfall island (tele-router 6), there is a cave entrance. He lives inside.
Also accessible from Grubble cave.
Appearance
It looks like a VERY large bull. Has an iron ring in it's nose. No clue how that got there. Large horns, too.
Sleeping Beast
Behavior
VERY territorial. Will attack, via charging head on. Will not stop once it has started charging. Can run into spikeplants and drops. Avoid at all costs.

Charge
According to @danthompson, the torro will be less deadly if you wear a non-red skin.

I got the torro's foot stuck in a rock, it stopped attacking!

There's one unique Meep on the ground. It can be found buried under a bunch of rocks (the pile not directly below the Star Plant, but to the right of that area) and it is a friendly Meep. It won't run away from BUD and it will sometimes follow him. <3 Such a cutie. I named him Sheepy.
He's very helpful for scanning the Meep creature into your databank, because he won't constantly be fighting and trying to run away if you grab him.

The arctic Meep respawned within 10 seconds for me. Specifically when I turned my head and turned back. Presumably it's like GTA where areas you're not looking at are the only acceptable respawn points. Then again for all I know that could be a recent "bugfix".
Also got an achievement when the first one died. And it's death is what gave me the clue on how to steal that one crystal in the snapdragon's mouth (not the ???, an actual power crystal). Triggered it with a root vegetable then started grabbing the crystal while the jaws were opening (taking advantage of cooldown).

I believe it does respawn. Been a long time since I've done it though.

There seems to be a lot of confusion about the snapdragon vs ??? and torro vs Arctic Meep with regards to the databank. Perhaps you should either move them into a different section for non-databank wildlife or mark wether or not each entry in your guide is a database item or not.

@Dick-Ass Thief, you don't have to.
