Since EA decided to forbid ReShade to improve the oldish looking EA WRC...

I also wanted to see how DIRT Rally 2.0 (from 2019) looks like in 2025 - with some ReShade tweaks enabled. Although it lacks the official WRC tracks :/

The whole installation & setup process takes only up to 2 minutes, and it is completely free!

Performance-wise you will loose some frames per second (~5-30%) depending on the chosen preset. And off-course on your overall system specs, ingame settings and especially your used screen resolution!

• 'Improved': Improves the overall visual quality with lowest system impact.
  
• 'Enhanced': Additionally adds more natural light and colours.
  
• 'Next-Gen': Tries to bring DIRT Rally 2.0 from 2019 to 2025, a bit. (my favourite)
  
• 'VHS Cam': Must try - time travel to the good old Tube TV racing era. (for historic events)
  
• 'PIXEL': For the nostalgics, sets you back to the pixel racing games of DOS era.

Just use https://www.virustotal.com/gui/home/upload to check the files by yourself. :)

Extract the preferred or simply all *.ini files (those are the presets) from the zip archive into your DIRT Rally 2.0 game file directory: ?:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\DiRT Rally 2.0\

1. Go to https://reshade.me/ and download the latest version.
2. Now execute and install the downloaded 'ReShade_Setup_6.X.X.exe'.
3. Follow the screenshots, if you're unsure on how to install ReShade properly.
3.1 First choose the game executable and then DirectX 10/11/12.
3.2 Skip the preset selection when asked, and check all Effects Packages.

If ReShade is installed properly, you'll see a short notification at the top left of your screen every time you launch the game (as well as some visual artifacts if the ultra preset is enabled).
Steps
1. Ingame press 'HOME' / 'POS1' for enabling/disabling the ReShade Overlay
2. Do the short introduction tutorial for ReShade, or
2.1 Skip the tutorial go to 'Settings' tab and set everything as shown in the screenshot.
2.2 By doing so you can control everything easily with F5 - F8.
2.3 Recommended: Enable (tick) 'Load only enabled effects', for faster loading times.
(Plz do 2.3 not before all effects have been loaded successsfully at least once on game launch!)
3. Finally you just need to choose a preset in the 'Home' tab and enable it.

The following screenshots were taken @5760x2400 (24:10) with Ultra settings. To really see the effects view in fullscreen. If you like to compare the fps (upper left corner), have in mind that the expected performance impact will be drastically lower when using lower resolutions like e.g. 2560x1440! Also note that the screenshots do not represent the final visual fidelity you will see in motion...

As I do not know if EA is allowing ReShade in online mode - and personally I am only using ReShade in singleplayer - Use ReShade at your own risk!
