B42 Battery Drain Fix (not needed for B42.1.0 and later)

Description
As of patch 42.1.0 this mod is no longer required
  • If you're starting a new game, remove this mod first as it is no longer needed
  • if you're playing an existing game that was updated from 42.0.2 to 42.1.0 then you can uninstall this mod, but doing so will cause existing batteries to drain - you can keep playing with the mod enabled to avoid this. Assuming you get your B42.0.2 world to work in B42.1.0, which is a challenge on its own if you have mods that add recipes.

Fixes an issue in B42 that causes batteries to drop to 16% charge after saving and loading the game, as well as affecting car batteries and propane lantern refills.

NOTE: this fix only gets applied to new items; existing items will still have the issue if recharged.

Credit for working out the bug relates to the
UseDelta value giving an object more than 32767 uses goes to LightJa on the bug report forums: bug report for this issue[theindiestone.com].

Other Related mods:

Amount Loss Fix by Yawntee, which is a change to the java code to fix the issue instead of a lua workaround. Requires additional manual steps to install/uninstall, but cover more situations than the save/load of the three items this mod fixes.

B42 Thread Consolidation Fix by LightJa fixes a separate bug that drains consumables when combining them.

Technical stuff:

This mod changes the UseDelta for newly generated batteries from 0.000005 to 0.00005 (200,000 used to 20,000.) Car Batteries and propane lantern refills are changed from 0.00001 to 0.00005 (100,000 to 20,000)

Still being tested but seems OK so far: making sure this doesn't cause unintended issues with car batteries draining too quickly.

I'm just here to show appreciation for the mod. Even if it's no longer needed and I really hope it is the case, thanks bro, "what a save" this mod was

I have a bug with an infinite battery in my flashlight, is this related to disabling the mod in an existing save?

Hi! i use your mod in v 42.0.1 - 42.0.2 with great results. I know this mod is no longer necesary until the last update fixed this. My question is if u have some knowledge about why my batteries drain after loading the 0.2 save game to a 1.0 v if i didnt uninstall the mod yet. Also, batteries at 16% cant be placed anywhere, no lanterns, radios, etc just pop up some error in the right side below of the screen, thanks for your work to the community :spiffo:
