Choosing a character.
Each character has their own abilities. I will describe each one and how I use them.

DRAGONUS – has one extra projectile.
I use him exclusively for gold farming. Though he can get to level 5 without issues.
Pick all abilities with projectiles for him. Use for fun. To pass the 7th echelon, you’ll need some luck.

SHEN – deals more physical damage while utilizing magic damage. The most ambiguous character, quite difficult. Not recommended. Use in combination with magical and physical abilities. Use for fun.

KEZ – has increased speed and marks strong mobs for critical hits with physical attacks. Only use physical skills. Easily the strongest character. Can comfortably handle the 7th echelon. Choose him for progressing echelons.

You can create your builds however you like, but I’ll show the simplest method I found. It’s flexible and doesn’t require strict adherence to a sequence. The most important thing to understand is that without upgrading attributes with gold, you won’t get far.
Upgrading additional attributes:
Here is the list of upgrades in order of priority. Let me start by saying that I recommend upgrading, but you can progress even without maxing everything out.

Aegis – Grants an extra life after death – highly recommended. I would even insist. Easy to obtain and immensely useful. Must have.

Movement Speed – Crucial for escaping crowds or avoiding meteors and projectiles. Bosses will literally catch up and trample you. Upgrade, preferably to the max.

HP Regen – Max this out. Provides survivability. Must have.

Cooldown Reduction – Max this out – an excellent stat.

Damage – Max this out. Damage is indispensable.

Area of Effect – Necessary only for a few abilities – an important stat for progression. Ideally, upgrade it. Expanding the mine radius to half the screen is excellent since knockback also works over this distance.

Range – Attack range (as far as I understand) – ideally, upgrade a bit.

XP Multiplier – Ideally, max this out.

Rerolls – Very useful when you lack needed skills or items. The more upgrades, the easier it is to progress and build.

Max HP – Not a mandatory factor, but upgrade at least halfway.

Damage Resistance – Personally, I’ve never upgraded this.

Damage Reflection – Returns damage – you can upgrade this. I passed with only 1 level.

Pickup Radius – For collecting experience and loot. Recommended but not essential.

Projectile Count – Only needed for projectile builds.
General rules:
- Stick to the center, running around the central diamond, occasionally drawing bosses toward the center. Avoid venturing into the map’s depths for magnets.

- Break urns whenever possible – they contain gold, cheese, and even magnets. Urns respawn near columns but change locations. They can also be found near railings.

- Don’t pick up magnets immediately; save them for when you’ve killed a decent number of mobs. Avoid chasing them into the map’s corners, as you’ll lose more time returning.

- The immortal boss, the "grim reaper" with a scythe who wants to stomp you – don’t try to kill it, just run away. On high echelons, after 12 minutes, a second reaper appears. Always keep it in sight. The boss is quite slow, so you can even approach within pickup radius to grab items near it, but don’t risk staying close. Knockback doesn’t work on it.

- Roshan – priority targets. Literally the highest priority. See it – kill it – "This is the way!" As I understand the mechanics, killing Roshan starts a timer for spawning another. The faster you kill Roshan, the more will spawn. If you drag one Roshan throughout the game, you’ll get 1 item. The more you kill, the more items you get.

- Monsters with an HP bar give more experience.

- After the third boss, run around the map’s center, near the columns, and watch for urns. A magnet might drop.

- Save "rerolls" a bit. Often at the end of a run, you won’t get what you need, and that’s when rerolls are essential.

I’ll describe only two characters, how to build them, and their roles.
7th echelon walkthrough – focused on damage.
You can reach level 5 with any character. But let’s discuss how to pass the 7th echelon.

KEZ – Choose him for the 7th echelon.

Forget about his innate skill ECHO SLASH. It’s useless and only gets in the way. Don’t upgrade it unless there’s no choice.
TRACK – The best skill – take it as early as possible.
Increases gold drops and damage on marked mobs (marks the strongest enemies within range, including bosses) – has several projectiles – with "Aghanim’s" it significantly boosts your farming speed. Refer to the "Aghanim’s" section.
SWASHBUCKLE – Clear paths horizontally – primarily move left and right. The swords knock back enemies (even bosses), greatly improving survivability. Deals decent damage too. Kite bosses until they die. Max it out. Pair with "Aghanim’s" for extra swords above and below, allowing movement in all directions.
PROXIMITY MINES – AoE, knockback, and damage. Helps against bosses. Take it.
COUNTER HELIX – Provides knockback. Take it. Cleaves paths among monsters.
SNOTTY THE BAT – Take if there’s a slot. Useful for collecting experience and chests in hard-to-reach areas. A pet over your head that spits from above – what could be better? Skip if your pickup radius is good. Also, take it if there’s nothing else or no rerolls available (it might synergize with "APEX" later, providing an extra slot).

Skill leveling should be proportional:

- Focus on main damage: PROXIMITY MINES, SWASHBUCKLE, and COUNTER HELIX.

- Don’t overinvest in TRACK; it’s for "Aghanim’s" and resistance debuffs on the strongest enemies. Start upgrading after maxing core damage but not to the max.

- Don’t upgrade the bat unless core damage is maxed. It’s mainly for item and XP collection. Upgrade only if no better options exist or "Aghanim’s" forces you.

- Avoid ECHO SLASH unless there’s no alternative. Upgrade only if there’s no other choice.

Aghanim’s progression.

A critical aspect of the game. Always kill bosses.

TRACK – After the first boss. Ideally, if "Aghanim’s" drops immediately, consider yourself victorious. After the second boss, it’s still worth picking. Post-third boss, it’s not worth taking as it won’t deliver the expected results. Opt for SNOTTY THE BAT and start upgrading it.

If a Roshan is near a boss, kill the boss first. The same goes for a chest near a boss – boss first for "Aghanim’s", then the chest. Two items are better than one.
Once all items are maxed, you’ll start getting skill upgrades instead of items! Upgrading skills twice consecutively from chests is amazing.

SWASHBUCKLE – Mandatory. Attacking upward with knockback is incredibly useful.

COUNTER HELIX – Third priority. Pick after SWASHBUCKLE or if no other options exist.

SNOTTY THE BAT – Pick if there are no other options.

PROXIMITY MINES – Don’t take. Not practical.

ECHO SLASH – Don’t take. Completely pointless. It’s distracting due to the turns required.

Items.

Initially, pick items that can combine later to free up slots. Four slots should hold combinable items that, upon merging, free up additional slots.

SANGE – Provides knockback, significantly aiding survivability.
YASHA – Speed and survivability.

CRYSTALYS – Damage, always useful.
DEMON EDGE – Pick to combine later.

For the remaining two empty slots, select items from the list below:

OCTARINE CORE – Faster skill usage means higher efficiency.
BLOODSTONE – Increases radius, extending knockback and improving survivability and maneuverability.
APEX – Grants an extra slot. Always good.
RING OF TARRASQUE – For extra HP. Take it.

The order doesn’t matter. Aim for the following set eventually:

Then upgrade quickly: CRYSTALYS, DEMON EDGE, SANGE, and YASHA. Once both are maxed, combining items will free slots:

DAEDALUS – Critical hits that synergize with the entire build.
SANGE AND YASHA – Knockback and movement speed = survivability.

If you manage to collect TRIDENT, it’s a bonus. Combine it with an extra item KAYA (requires level 3 upgrade).

As soon as the place is free, we take more items. Approximately, you will end up with such an assembly:

A comic of items. One of the variations of this build.
Gold farming.

DRAGONUS – The best character for gold farming. Pick him. Choose the first echelon.
Mechanics ensure equal gold drops regardless of echelon. Pick the first echelon for simplicity.
13 minutes yield approximately 3500–5500 gold.

Strategy:

TRACK – Max it. Marked enemies drop more gold. Marks count as projectiles, which is why DRAGONUS works best with his +1 projectile, boosting gold earnings.

Upgrade Projectile Count – Also boosts TRACK skill effectiveness. Recommended for more gold in subsequent farming runs. In my calculations, it pays off.

SNOTTY THE BAT – Take it early to ensure no coins are missed.

The rest of the skills are of your choice. The main thing is that it should be magic and projectiles. I prefer the following build:

If you expand it to another slot, you can choose anything from:

Items:

SPECIALIST ARRAY – More projectiles = more TRACK marks = more gold.
KAYA – Additional magic damage.
YASHA – Extra speed.

Upgrade to KAYA AND YASHA.

PHYLACTERY – More damage.
CRYSTALYS – Needed for…

Upgrade to KHANDA.

Name
APEX – Extra slot – always good.
John
OCTARINE CORE – Faster skill use = higher efficiency.

Last slot choice is flexible. Options include:

40
RING OF TARRASQUE – For regeneration. Works fine.
Sussie
WORLD CHASM ARTIFACT – if you have no problems, take it, you will collect more gold

Sussie
SANGE – Knockback doesn’t affect projectiles, but combining into TRIDENT is a bonus.
Sussie

Sequence doesn’t matter, focus on slot management.

Aghanim’s upgrades for farming:

Name
TRACK – Speeds progression.
John
MAGIC MISSILE – If you’ve accumulated high extra damage, take it. Otherwise, pick something else.
Gitte
ARCANE BOLT – Works well in synergy.
Sussie
SNOTTY THE BAT – Two are better for gold collection.
SPIRITS – Useful when taking damage.
CHAIN FROST – More projectiles = better.
Gitte
FROSTBITE – Freezes enemies if you’re taking damage, giving time.
Sussie
LAGUNA BLADE – Good for tough bosses.

Everything else isn’t recommended. For gold farming, quick kills ensure new enemies spawn faster. Projectile-related skills solve this problem.

I'm glad that it was useful to someone. I think you will succeed with the rest of the echelons :sfsmug:
