In short, Amen. Don't get me wrong, it does a decent job of making the original LABF experience available to modern systems (value is heavily debatable). Here on Steam... As long as Disney isn't trying to pull a Blizzard with LA Battlefront II - There is NO substitute. The Steam release seems to work with little to no issues on Win11, unlike the GoG release.

It's a shame, I like the modern improvements as well as splitscreen on pc. If it gets better I'll buy it for sure.
