THE HORROR EVENT
In BETON BRUTAL, there is a horror event, which happens if the Vertigo counter is way too high. During the horror event the lights go dim and weird creepy noises start to appear. There is a way to trigger such event on purpose. It wont give you any Steam achievements though, it exists just as a fun horror aspect of the game.
PREPARATIONS
In order to horror event to start, certain in-game settings should be turned on.

NOTICE: All the noises and visual effects of the horror event in BETON BRUTAL are considered to be MUSIC, so your MUSIC VOLUME should be higher than a 0, 100% is recommended.

Make sure that your VERTIGO EFFECTS & HIGH VERTIGO EVENTS are also ticked in your game's settings, otherwise it won't work for you.

On-screen VERTIGO COUNTER is also recommended to be turned on, as it will help you to know your current VERTIGO LEVEL.

Now, as all needed settings are set up properly, we can proceed to triggering the horror event!
INCREASING THE VERTIGO
Now we're ready to trigger the horror event of BETON BRUTAL!

After setting all the previously mentioned settings properly, RESTART YOUR GAME. As soon as your game will start again, random soundtrack of the official OST should start playing shortly after automatically. NOTICE: the following steps were tested on a clear restarted run. For better results, restart your run too. If you have progress you don't want to lose, just go on with the following steps then, do not restart your run.

The in-game music soundtrack lasts from 3 to 4 minutes ( this depends on the soundtrack the game will choose at the start ). When music will go silent, start increasing the VERTIGO. VERTIGO increases, when the player looks directly upwards or down into the pit below. Keep rising it, until it reaches 100%. Try to maintain high values for a better result.

Another way of increasing and maintaining your VERTIGO levels is to perform dangerous / risky jumps. If there's a fall of more than 25m of height, the VERTIGO will start to increase. Keep your VERTIGO at 90-100% for 3 to 4 minutes. IMPORTANT: After 3-5 minutes of the in-game time, the game will " try " to play next soundtrack. This is when the horror event should start!

If your VERTIGO COUNTER will have from 90 to 100% of progress, the next in-game music track won't play. Instead, the HIGH VERTIGO EVENT should occur. The creepy noises will appear, the lights go dark and the SHADOW MAN will appear behind your back continiously. This picture shows how it'll look like during the game.
THE EVENT
If everything was done correctly, the HIGH VERTIGO EVENT should start instead of the in-game music. If you fail to trigger the event at first, make sure you have all the required settings turned on properly, then repeat all the steps again.

The following video will demonstrate how the HIGH VERTIGO HORROR EVENT looks like during the normal gameplay.

This video showcases the Horror Event and the famous Shadow Man of BETON BRUTAL. There are three different variants of the horror event is known to exist in the game. This video shows one of these variants. Horror events happen in DLC Beton Bath map too and they are completely similar to the ones in BETON BRUTAL map.

It's a very nice guide and a somewhat interesting touch to the game, but for some reason I get those events even at like, 30% Vertigo, and that's not very pleasant
