Indeed. Oh, you're a true connoisseur! I had to google the "atomic" period, turns out I knew it, just not by name. Have you played The Bureau: XCOM declassified? I think it's grossly underrated, since I've enjoyed it a lot. It drinks heavily from the Atomic aesthetics too. Maybe people were disappointed because the mechanics are so different from the others in the series of tactical games... It's combat style is more akin to Mass Effect than Enemy Unknown.

I agree. I've become more of a 50s "atomic" art/modern minimalism fan as I've grown older but I still have a special fondness for Art Nouveau, Mucha, Parrish, and Gaudi (who was a category of his own.) What an amazing time for the arts. Too bad it was so brief, I wonder how it would have developed further had it not been interrupted by WWl. :sad_creep:
