Playable Nymph

Ever wanted to play as one of these things? Of course you didn't.

This idea randomly came to me one morning. The Lilith's Necklace item got me thinking about what it would be like to play as other enemies. Since I already have sprites for the Lost Girl and Nymph enemies, I figured I may as well give it a shot. It worked out well, I'd say!

I changed the Moon Charm item to a Suspicious Looking Bone, which will turn you into the Lost Girl. And the Neptune's Shell has been replaced with a Severed Hand, which will turn you into a Nymph. I highly recommend putting these items in the vanity accessory slots, that way you can easily see the new forms without having to meet the transformation conditions.

Why did I use these items in particular? Well, I couldn't just replace the sprites of any old armor because the way armor functions is by slapping a sprite over the regular player sprites. Just about every accessory and outfit work this way. Had I replaced an armor with the new sprites, you'd still see the player's body poking out, which just doesn't look right. The Nymph's sprites are way too thin to cover the player's body entirely. There's two exceptions I know of; the Werewolf and Merfolk transformations. These "armors" completely hide the player body, thus making the new sprites obstruct nothing.

I hope you all enjoy this little project of mine. Doing this has gotten me thinking about what else I could potentially do with this idea... If this mod does well, I may consider making a mod that lets you play as one of the Town NPC's.

(FYI: I had to change the werewolf hurt sounds to the generic ones used by slimes, zombies, etc.
I don't think the werewolf sounds really fit this particular enemy. Also yeah, the Nymph's head rotates just like the Merfolk. I have no idea how to change this and I sure would if I could.)
