Description

I used a Fire Infused Miséricorde with Flame of the Redmanes, because Malenia is weaker to Fire than she is to Physical by 10%. I put the Flame-Shrouding Cracked Tear in my Physick in my Flask for some added damage, and the Stonebarb Cracked Tear to try and make sure she staggers.

In case you don't know, Malenia is one of the few bosses in the game that straight up cheats. She refuses to stagger, even when her poise limit of 80 has been reached, meaning you'll need to use additional methods to get a build like this to work. There are a few times where I'll randomly hit her with the dagger; this is me "Stance checking" her.

If her refusing to stagger wasn't bad enough, she also seems to be programmed to resist dying and stay at 1 HP, requiring you to hit her again to actually kill her. Attacks with multiple hitboxes, multiple damage types, or straight multihits might be able to bypass this, but I'm unsure-- it's not very consistent. The reason she didn't resist here is because FotRM has a cone of hitboxes active, so she could get touched by one to put her to 1, then touched by the other to activate the finishing touch.
