My method (which may be more comfortable to achieve):
1) I had a Rudeling slice down some bushes for me.
2) I did what I had to to snatch the Old House Key from the Envoy to get the Shield.
3a) I went to the Frog's Domain to get the Orb, slaying as few enemies as possible by running.
3b) I went to Beneath The Well to get the Lantern (again, being as pacifist as possible).

3c) I went to the East Forest to get the Whispering Bell card ( significantly helpful! ).
3d) I got the Scepter for ranged attacks (as needed).
4) I then went into the Quarry, activated the checkpoint, and made a break for it!
5) Eventually, I got the Scavenger's Mask card. Made another break for it to get the Gun.

...and although I died a fair bit, certain things such as opened chests and shortcuts remain after you die, and the game doesn't take deaths into account for this achievement.

With the help of a Molotov cocktail, you can set yourself on fire and just burn, burning bushes and enemies, and most importantly, you cannot fail in this method.

Killed that guy with just dynamite on my run when i unintentionally went that way before the intended way which i will not say for spoiler reasons
