Barents Sea: Operations Manual
By Shane
This guide uses a combination of data from ingame, gamewiki, forums and the fandom wiki pages on the internet.

It then combines the data from all locations into reference charts...
This in turn allows you to quickly access the material via the steam interface whilst playing the game.

Still under construction...
Radar information is still missing, on a couple of the larger vessels.

Now includes DLC information.

This port allows you to sell fish direct to local people...

Opening Hours:
6am - 6pm (requires min 8hrs to be spent docked)

If you sell your fish at this location between opening hours you will gain a price bonus.

You must arrive at this location before 10am. As long as you arrive before 10am you will
be able to obtain the maximum 20% bonus, which degrades every hour roughly by
2.5%.

When entering between those hours you will have a different option when docking to sell fish at the local fish market instead of the port itself. However outside of these hours selling to any port in the game will be the same price.

Once selected time will fast forward, 8hrs(or until its)18:00hrs, depending upon arrival time...
so don't have lines out during that period!!

What else effects the selling price ?
Additional factors to take into account when selling fish that effect profit margins, are reputation with the dock, gutting quality, etc...

Dont gut your fish until you have all intended lines hauled in unless you have staff, manually gutting fish per every haul would mean you have to play the minigame more times increasing the chances of losing profit...

You can also leave it until you arrive back in harbor during rough seas.

Note:
Fish stored on your boat will begin to rot after 8days,
then starts degrading

until after 14days will not be sellable...

Nets
Nets require a hauler upgrade before you can purchase them from ports...

In addition to this they can be repaired at docks, and also require at least one crew member to be hired in order to pull in the nets at harvest time.

net fishing can be extremely profitable per run, however you have to account for your fishing quota. Nets dont require bait meaning you can keep your vessel out at sea for days but at the expense of hauling in types of fish that risk fines.
King Crabs
You must throw all female crabs back into the ocean to avoid fines when selling King Crabs. This reference picture shows the difference between males and females.

Once the upgrade has been installed on a crab enabled vessel, the price of bait and pots are listed below you will also require barrels to store the crabs after sorting.

How long should you leave out Pots ?
19-22 Hrs, The crabs will start degrading and rotting after 48hrs. Remember to check the indicator colour as with longlines before hauling in your cages. The same colour coded status applies to both long lines and crab pots.
Ships
If no information is shown then the vessel does not support that feature. Where radar is available the data shows how many upgrades to this are available for the boat and the max radar distance in meters.

When purchasing a new ship, the binoculars, knife, and hook upgrades are universal and are available for use with all boats. However services/upgrades are ship specific. Along with fishing gear such as lines, nets and pots... A new ship also comes with a full tank of fuel.

Mast and Spotlight upgrades are purely cosmetic and provide no bonus to anything. they also dont provide any improvements of any kind.
