Issyk-Kul Map

Civ6 map based on Lake Issyk-Kul and the surrounding region in Kyrgyzstan. For anyone who ever loaded up the Inland Sea script and was profoundly disappointed, consider this a spiritual successor and direct improvement, while also representing one of the most beautiful places on Earth!

A few notes: Despite being a small map by tile count, because of the rivers, hills, and mountain passes, it is advised to play with more AI civs rather than less for a more interesting and competitive game. The map will support up to 12 fairly playable spawns. BBS compatible. We have personally found that enabling Barbarian Clans and not starting with city-states on the map is an enjoyable play experience and allows city-states to fill in the tundra tiles and backs of valleys.

Note that due to the number of mountain tiles, some inflation of faith and science yields is likely. This is merely a product of making a map that is as accurate to the real-world location as possible.
