Greetings! This mod contains the hotel Ukraine, as well as several tourist extensions. It was made according to an unrealized project in 1954, later the project was greatly simplified.

More details about the building:
On June 22, 1944, a competition was announced for the best project for the restoration of Kiev. In total, about 20 recovery options were presented. In many of the projects that participated in the competition, it was planned to build a new high-rise building on the hill that occupied the "Ginzburg skyscraper" before the war. None of the projects submitted for the competition, despite the large number of interesting proposals from the urban planning point of view, was not accepted. The organizers of the competition entrusted the development of a general project for the reconstruction of the central part of Kiev to the Kievproekt institute. In the early 1950s, work was carried out to finally dismantle the foundation of the Ginzburg Skyscraper and prepare the site for the construction of a new high-rise hotel. In 1953, a decree of the Council of Ministers of the USSR was issued, according to which design work on the structure began. Excavation work began in 1954. And after numerous alterations, in particular those related to the fight against the excesses of architecture, in 1955 they began to lay the foundation. During the construction process, the project was changed several times, and due to the "fight against architectural excesses", the hotel project was significantly cut down, the number of storeys was reduced and the spire was removed. The construction of the skyscraper hotel itself began in 1958 and was completed in 1961. The official opening took place on September 28, 1961, the hotel was named "Moscow" (the hotel received the name "Ukraine" in 2001 in honor of the 10th anniversary of Ukraine's independence). According to the initial skyscraper skyscraper was supposed to be 21-storey and have a height of 120-150 m. However, by order of the Ukrainian leadership to combat "architectural excesses", the hotel project was cut and the height was reduced to 66 meters. In the 2010s, its completion or reconstruction was planned, but this was not done.
