Tetley Tea Truck

Due to the fierce rivalry with Yorkshire Tea there have been many requests for representation for the other Yorkshire based tea company.

They claim to be the largest tea producer in the UK & US.

In 1822, brothers Joseph and Edward Tetley sold salt from a pack horse in Huddersfield, Yorkshire, England. They started to sell tea and were so successful they set up as "Joseph Tetley & Co." tea merchants in 1837.

By 1990, with a yearly production of 20 billion teabags, Tetley had gained the title of the second largest tea brand in the world after Lipton.

This asset is based on a collectible Toy Truck featuring the Tetley Tea Folk

The Tetley Tea Folk are animated characters used to advertise Tetley Tea from 1973 to 2001, and from 2010 to 2016.

There have been sixty-seven animated television adverts, and many appearances in papers, magazines, on packs, radio, the internet, as well as Tea Folk memorabilia. Over thirty million Tea Folk items have been sold, and items from the Tetley Tea Folk can now be found in over five million homes in the United Kingdom.

The Tea Folk have provided some of the most memorable advertising on Britain's television screens. Some well known lines include:

Tetley make tea bags make tea.
That's Better. That's Tetley.
Only Tetley will do.
