General Tips for Beginners
DISCLAIMER: I WILL NOT POST INDIVIDUAL STATS OF WEAPONS OR SPECIFICALY MENTIONED SPECIMENS, AND ALL TALK OF USING EARLY/MID/LATE GAME ALL PERTAIN TO PLAYING WITH GAME LENGTH SET TO LONG (10 waves) THIS GUIDE IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE AT ANY TIME.

Sharpshooter is possibly one of the most common classes you will see played on Killing Floor and possibly the easiest to play as. Even though it's not particularly hard, like all players, you can get overwhelmed easily. As a sharpshooter, you receive a discount on pistols, rifles, and the crossbow, bonus headshot damage, and reduced recoil with pistols, rifles, and the crossbow.

At the start of the game in Round 1, sharpshooters will have an early advantage with their extra headshot damage that will usually kill most basic specimens with one headshot, like the crawler, gorefast, and the clot. Use this to your advantage! You can save precious ammo by aiming for the head, which is easy by ONLY concentrating on the front sight of your gun. As you get later in the game, bigger and badder specimens such as the Scrake and Fleshpound (commonly abbreviated sc for scrake and fp for fleshpound) show up which require bigger guns to kill. Don't rush them, instead, hit them from a distance with whatever weapon you have, as both can mess you up really fast.
This is a scrake. When rampaging, it is impossible to outrun even by a level 6 beserker. Rampages when at 50% health in beginner-suicidal, 70% Hell on Earth. Its chainsaw will keep you from moving away from the scrake, allowing it to land devastating follow ups.

These enemies are Fleshpounds. Dealing 97 health damage to unarmored players and boasting extreme health and resistance, it can wipe a whole team if they are careless. They rampage when it has a specific player in sight for at least 11 seconds, or sustains 600 or more health damage in 2 seconds. It can break through a door welded at 100% very quickly and are just a general pain in the ass to deal with.

Both of those enemies are very high priority as only one is capable of wiping a whole squad if they're careless.

DON'T BE AFRAID TO HIP FIRE! Even though there is no reticle to guide your aiming, hip firing is actually fairly accurate and can be a real life saver if swarmed. Hip firing with some weapons will prove more effective than aiming since recoil is more manageable, such as with the Mk14, and the lever action rifle.

M99 IS A PATTY WEAPON! The M99 is a powerful .50 BMG bolt action snier rifle that is the most powerful weapon in the sharpshooters arsenal. Although there are huge downsides to this weapon. For one, very expensive, and to fully fill it with ammo (25 rounds total) costs a whopping 5000 pounds! So unless you have serious money to burn, only buy this as a Patriarch weapon after selling everything.

KEEP MOVING! While moving backwards you can train specimens making them easy picking, and moving around makes you harder to hit, especially by husks. Also, if necessary, crouch and let teammates fire over your head so they don't have to expose themselves, while you provide a small buffer zone for them.

Summary: Sharpshooter is simple, but by no means a tanking class as its armor is no better than any other class, it has powerful and accurate weapons with the downsides of big price tags and expensive ammunition along with longer reload times. Although extra headshot damage can take the edge off a hard pressed team if you are a crack shot. Best if used to hit big enemies, especially scrakes and fleshpounds, from a distance with their powerful rifles and pistols.

Sharpshooter Weapons
Pistols:

This is the 9mm pistol you start out with at the beginning of the game (unless a lvl 6 of any given perk) A reliable last resort gun with a ROF only limited by your trigger finger. Available in dual weild, and with a built in flashlight, and a 15 round ammo cap (30 if dual weild), it's a good weapon if you're trying to conserve ammo for bigger specimens or if you're getting swarmed by smaller specimens.

This is the Mk23 pistol available in the trader's store. Powerful with a high ammo capacity, it's an excellent weapon to fill the gap between the pricy and ammo challenged .44 magnum and the powerful Hand cannon. Available in dual weild, 12 round ammo capacity (24 dual weild), and hard hitting .45 ACP ammo make it a great choice for all parts of a game. Ammo is on the cheaper side, and does major headshot damage. While powerful and accurate, it suffers from high recoil and has a limited ROF.

This is the .44 Magnum revolver available in the trader's store. Powerful and speedy, it can put down large groups of weaker specimens with it's hard hitting rounds and excellent ROF. A quick reload, high power, and high ROF all sound good, but it suffers from low ammo cap (only 6 rounds and 12 dual weild) very expensive ammo, and unreliable in swarm situations especially against large specimens. Still a great weapon, if you have the dosh to feed the beast.

This is the Hand cannon. Mother of all hand guns. As powerful as it is pricy, it can put down large specimens and swarms alike. Low recoil, high caliber with .50 AE rounds, it is an outstanding late game weapon to use. With a decent ammo cap, (8 rounds, 16 dual weild) and very high power it has the capability to make one player a one man army. Although its ROF is limited, so sorry to you twitch fingers who want machine gun DEagles.

Rifles:

This is the lever action rifle available in the trader's shop. Always available for the rock bottom price of 200 pounds, even late joiners can stand a chance with this powerful weapon. This weapon has high power, very good accuracy, and low recoil. While it is a reliable weapon, it suffers from low ammo capacity of only 10 rounds and a long reload time which could be a problem in a pinch. Overall an excellent starting weapon, most effective up until mid game.

This is the Mk14 EBR available in the trader's shop. It is a very accurate long range rifle with a hefty price tag but stopping power to back it up. With a generous 20 round magazine, it can put down a scrake in 8 headshots. Also capable of cutting large groups of smaller specimens. This weapon usually appears in late game, or early game if someone is a high level sharpshooter playing on the lower difficulties. Clicking mouse wheel makes a laser sight pop up showing the user exactly where their shot will hit. Effective at all stages of the game

This is the M99. Extremely powerful, perfect accuracy, able to put down all specimens (save patriarch except on solo beginner) in one shot. Although this weapon should be saved exclusively for the patriarch as it is completely unreliable in normal play. Big price tag, and extremely expensive ammo. When you buy the weapon for 2000 pounds, it will take another 5000 to fill up on ammo. So that's a total 7000 pounds for one gun! Although it can deal insane damage to the patriarch especially with a head shot. So, keep calm, take a deep breath, get it in your sights, and squeeze the trigger.

Other:

This is the crossbow, available in the traders shop. Able to put down all specimens in 1-2 shots, the crossbow is a great choice for a cash strapped sharpshooter looking to deal some damage. Able to kill a scrake with one headshot, and a fleshpound in 2 (except on Hell on Earth difficulty) the crossbow is a great weapon to use. Although while using it your movement is sluggish, it can make you an easy target for a rampaging scrake or fleshpound. While bolts are expensive, they are, thankfully, reusable as long as they are in a reachable location. The crossbow can kill a line of specimens in one shot, 2 for gorefasts. Just a tip for the crossbow, save it for bigger specimens, it can even be used effectively on the patriarch! While the crossbow is heavy, you will still have enough room for a set of any dual pistols, so you won't be completely helpless.
Patriarch Tips
The best tip I can give new sharpshooters, and even experienced ones is to KEEP YOUR DISTANCE! The Patriarch is unmatched in 1v1 close combat and can very quickly mess you and your whole team up. The Patriarch boasts powerful ranged weaponry as well such as its gatling gun and rocket launcher, but it, like all others, focuses on players closest to it. If an accurate sharpshooter with an M99 can stay alive long enough, the team can almost surely grab victory. Sharpshooters are also good for luring it into pipe bombs set down by a friendly demo, once it is shot for the first time it rushes to the player who shot it, and it will run right into the bombs, making it turn tail and run away to use its first of three syringes without anyone taking damage. If far enough away, go for the headshot as it will cause massive damage to it, over 1000 damage with one shot (if you have the M99 that is). Just to summarize, keep your distance, go for the headshot, and try to lure it into friendly demo traps if possible. Feel free to comment about wrong information, or if you want to see anything added! I'm active on steam and will surely see your comment! Or if you don't want your suggestion/correction made public then just send me a steam PM and I'll take care of it. Have fun, and happy gaming!

Oh! Thanks for telling! I'll get right to it when I can so I can fully complete the guide.

You don't need to own the DLC, download a map from the workshop called The Testmap, it's made by one of my Steam friends, you can't level your perks on it as it's for training only but you can use all the DLC weapons :D:

Thanks for the input, as much as I would like to include it in my guide, I have very little experience with the musket, and I cannot really give good tips if I don't know how a specific weapon works. But again, thanks for the input! If I ever do get around to getting the Musket, I will surely add it to the guide when I have enough experience with it.

One weapon you missed, it's DLC but I have seen new players using it, the Musket, excellent weapon and new sharpshooters should know about it.
