Days Gone: Best Weapon + (Secret and how to unlock it)
By Elena and 1 collaborators
The lack of combat weapons in a world gripped by the chaos of the zombie apocalypse, in advance, dooms the last strongholds of civilization to a long and painful degeneration. The developers of Days Gone realized this and gave the residents of the lost Oregon hope in the form of a huge arsenal of weapons, which is enough to man a small army.

9MM

Quality-garbage

A standard pistol, which is Deacon's first weapon. It has a rather weak firepower and does not allow the shooter to feel confident in a battle against either humans or phreakers. It is effective only when hit in the head, so it should be replaced at the first opportunity.
SAP9

Quality – poor

An improved version of the previous instance with increased ammunition and increased accuracy.
THE SHERIFF

Quality – average

A revolver that has proven itself well in combat due to increased damage. The firepower of this gun is enough to deprive a zombie of a limb, knock it down and buy some time.
SMP9

Quality – average

Automatic weapons that can thin out hordes of phreakers and deal good damage. The high rate of fire makes it almost a favorite in its class.
LIL STUBBY

Quality-Army

A shortened shotgun with lethal firepower and fast reload animation. It is an indispensable means of protection while riding a bike.
ELIMINATOR

Quality-Army

"Eagle of the Desert" Days are over,". Huge recoil is compensated by huge damage: one shot is enough to bring down the phreaker once and for all.
PDW

Quality-Special forces

One of the best representatives of the "Pistols" class, which combines a large magazine capacity, fast reloading and acceptable damage.
THE MAYOR

Quality-Army

Another revolver that can be compared to a shotgun in terms of combat characteristics. Sufficient rate of fire, coupled with the damage done, allows you to challenge an entire horde of phreakers.
BOOZER’S SHOTGUN

Quality – average

The shotgun of Deacon's best friend, which opens as the story campaign progresses. Long animations of sending a cartridge into the chamber and a catastrophically long reload negate its only advantage in the form of good damage.
RSF60

Quality – average

The spiritual heir of the previous shotgun. Improved combat characteristics make it a more attractive weapon compared to its predecessor.
COMBAT SHOTGUN

Quality-Army

A military-grade shotgun that has both advantages and disadvantages. It's just a good and effective weapon of its class, capable of causing trouble to the infected at close range.
NOCK VOLLEY

Quality-Army

A seven-barrelled shotgun that deals huge damage due to its design features. A shot fired simultaneously from all barrels does not leave the enemy a chance for a successful outcome. However, the recharge rate is somewhat worse.
AUTO SHOTGUN

Quality-Special forces

The automatic shotgun is able to challenge not only hordes of ordinary zombies, but also special phreakers. High rate of fire, decent damage and moderate recoil make it one of the best representatives of its class.
LIBERATOR

Quality-Special forces

A shotgun that has the best properties among its closest competitors. Among the disadvantages, we can note not the most capacious capacity of the store, which does not allow the "Liberator" to become a clear winner in comparison with the previous automatic shotgun.
STINGER

Quality – poor

A rather rare submachine gun of not too outstanding quality. It copes with its task, but is inferior to its closest competitors in terms of characteristics.
PPSH-41

Quality-Army

A submachine gun with a rich history, well-known to the CIS community. Due to its high rate of fire and sufficient damage, it has a good stopping effect.
CHICAGO CHOPPER

Quality-Army

The legendary tommy gun, perfectly coping with both packs of wild animals and hordes of phreakers. One of those weapons that makes you feel relatively safe.
.22 REPEATER

Quality – poor
One of the first rifles in the game. Not being an automatic weapon, it requires the player's endurance and high accuracy. To defeat the enemy, it is advisable to aim at the head.
M14

Quality – average

An old rifle that you want to put in the gun cabinet much less often than the previous copy. It copes well with shooting single freakers, but against the horde, you should choose something more rapid-fire.
M50 REISING

Quality-Army

The first applicant for an automatic rifle in this class. Among the disadvantages, we can note the insufficient capacity of the store.
The Cowboy

Quality-Army

A whimsical mix of revolver and rifle, showing impressive effectiveness in combat. The damage of this weapon is enough to stop an attacking enemy or deprive him of some limb. Fans of Red Dead Redemption 2 will clearly like it.
Badlands Big Game

Quality-Special forces

A single-shot rifle with a short interval between shots and high damage, well-proven in combat against other people. With zombies copes somewhat worse.
SAF

Quality – poor

A parody of the AK-47, which is somewhat incorrect to compare with its progenitor. It is quite common in the game and is not particularly valuable.
US556

Quality – average

The second automatic rifle of this class, which is better not to take in a raid against freakers because of the high recoil and low penetration ability.
MWS

Quality – average

Like the previous two copies, it is a very mediocre rifle. The first battle with the mutants will clearly demonstrate this.
IDF PUP

quality-special forces

The best representative of her class. Being extremely effective against both humans and infected, this rifle will be able to protect its owner even when faced with a horde.
RPD

Quality-Army

A good hand-held machine gun that performs all the tasks. The combat characteristics of the weapon allow you to store it until about the middle of the game.
MG-45

Quality – average

The second representative of the class of light machine guns, well-proven in close-range combat. As the distance to the target increases, the recoil makes itself felt.
MG55

Quality-Special forces
One of the few weapons that can hold off the horde. The huge ammunition and power concentrated inside this machine gun makes the Deacon almost invulnerable.
M40

Quality – poor

Single-shot sniper rifle with a long animation of the exit from the sight and reloading after the shot. Occupies a separate slot.
C8-RIFLE

Quality – average

This sniper rifle no longer has the disadvantages of its predecessor. The C8 looks much more attractive for equipment, since automatism and 5 rounds in the magazine give a second chance when the first shots are inaccurate.
SSR

Quality-Army
A harsh semi-automatic rifle that can deal with special phreakers in a few shots. 10 rounds in the magazine is enough to thin out a group of mutants or wreak havoc on an enemy squad.
TALON 7

Quality-Army

The weapon of a real sniper, who is used to following the saying: "One shot – one corpse." Ideal for eliminating particularly dangerous opponents from a safe distance
.50 BFG

Quality-Special forces

The queen of sniper rifles in the game, destroying a special phreaker with a single shot to the head. It is difficult to lose a battle with a weapon with similar characteristics.
(CROSSBOW)

Quality – average

The first special weapon that Deacon unlocks in the game. Together with the upgraded skills and different types of bolts, the crossbow becomes a loyal companion of the player who prefers stealth to open battle.
DRIFTER CROSSBOW

Quality-Army

An improved version of the regular crossbow, expanding the scope of its use. And there are plenty of situations when explosive bolts will be used in Days Gone.
(IPCA STUN GUN) - SECRET

Quality-unique

A special weapon that opens after the end of the main story campaign (the final meeting with O'Brien will be remembered by players for a long time). This is not a weapon that you want to use against an angry crowd of mutants, but you can generate a couple of fun game moments with a stun gun.

and you missed a lot of weapons, poor guide.

wrong. The mayor isn't just "comparable to a shotgun", it IS a shotgun. Shoot at a wall and you can easily see the spread

A very nice list, but I would still like to know where the camp/horde are located that unlock IDF PUP and MG 55. I would like to get them before I take on more hordes.

The Mayor The Sheriff and SSR unlock at the end of the game (after credits)
IDF / Rock Chuck are Ambush / Marauder Camp unlocks as far as I remember
MG-55 is a Horde Unlock (You can check unlocks in Story Progression)
Everything else is unlocked at new camps corresponding to their viability (Worst can be bought at the first camps, best can be bought at the last camp)

@YouPromi Hello. This manual describes separately how to get a stun gun. But not all weapons.
YouPromi 5 Jun, 2021 @ 9:52am
Well, you haven't written how to unlock anything, except the crappy stun gun.
