Wait. What? How can a monitor destroy your hardware?

I would say if your monitor has active power over DisplayPort, then maybe the video card would be acting up. However, I can't imagine that there are no protection mechanisms against this.

I literally JUST bought a new LG 27GL850-B last saturday but when I went to test it out my PC crapped out on me.
I rebuilt it with a B550 and a 5800x with 32GB of 3600MHz RAM from Corsair

Only right now I created a new USB containing the latest and greatest Windows so I was able to re format my PC.

Even on 21:9 (144hz) you can play any game. Ill play R6 mainly. But sometimes the witcher comes out and a bigger screen is just soo nice.
