You have to know:
First of all, you'll have to know some things in this difficulty level:
  • The body armor won't be available.
  • The QTE scenes give you less time to react.
  • When you decapitate someone, more "Plagas" will appear.
  • You'll lose more health easily.
  • In Easy or Normal, when you die too many times, difficulty will be low so you can pass it easily. In Proffessional it doesn't happen.

Now, some tips:
  • You have to be patient and tell yourself that it's not going to be easy but you're gonna make it.
  • If you don't want problems with Ashley, finish Separate ways to unlock the warrior suit for her.
  • In the first part, in the village, keep running for 10 minutes. Don't even think about entering the house with the shotgun earler.
  • Make headshots or shoot in the knee (Skyrim jokes lol) so you can kick them and kill them with the knife.
  • Don't upgrade weapons unless it's necessary.
  • You can mix some treasures to get much money.
  • If you have trouble with some boss, you can use the rocket launcher (don't use it for El Gigante or the chainsaw guys, it will be a waste).
  • When you see a lot of crows, throw a stun grenade (the blue one) and you'll see they leave a lot of money and ammo.
  • Sell the ammo of weapons you don't use.
  • Make combinations of green, red and yellow plants. They'll upgrade your maximum health.
  • If you are patient, you can wait for the chickens leaving eggs and you can get golden eggs. They don't occupy much space and heal all your health bar. (Thanks, Zobby Gums)

I have a better tutorial: when you have trouble playing on professional, play on easy instead.

Plagas will appear regardless of headshots.
You can slice someones foot off, and a Plagas could still emerge.

Plagas do not appear if the ganado is;
- Killed with a special move (kick/suplex)
- killed by falling from heights (and elevation in general)
- killed by flames/explosions

Ganados with helmets won't reveal Plagas either.

professional is not that difficult u just have to make sure to save ammo for bosses and use ur knife when there isnt hordes of enemies and for the krauser fight try to knife him it will to more damage then any of your guns

Getting the shotgun in the village before the Ganados bail on professional is a power move. Don't forget to get it before you leave or else you'll miss out on a free pump.
