Walking into the woods will get you lost.

It doesn't matter if you walk a straight line perpendicular to the path and then turn 180° and walk the straight line back. If you've walked in the forest long enough, you'll be lost.

There is no difference between being lost in the woods on the left side or the right side of the path. The map of the woods will be the same once you're lost with any particular girl. The maps will differ among different girls however.

To get back to the path, simply stand still until the black girl dressed in white approaches you, let her hold your hands (by doing nothing) and she will guide you out of the forest and back to the path.

The direction of the wolf's location will be shown on the perimeter of the map as a pawn/footprint. Simply align to it and travel in that direction if and when you want to meet it.

Initially the map will appear briefly at every 100 meters you walk or run.

If you go to the menu (ESC), choose 'help', and look at the controls for 'Act 2: The Forest', you will notice that there is an 'access objects map' (Ctrl or left shoulder button) option that is not immediately available, as it needs to be unlocked.

To unlock it, visit the grandmother's house three times with any girl without meeting the wolf.
