All of the art in this pack is certified 100% human drawn, as it was compiled before AI art became a thing. For that reason, I'm not adding any more portraits to this mod, because I don't want AI art to be mixed in with real art. If I make any more portraits, it will be as a separate mod.

AI art is a plague. Automating art is not like automating farming or manufacturing, which makes life easier for everyone. Success in these sectors means you are spending very little time using the tool for a great amount of output. But the point of art is to spend time appreciating it - your attention is a sign of its success. Having a quadrillion works of art is the same exact value as a billion works of art as no human has the hours in the day to consume either quantity. All that happens is people lose good jobs as illustrators, coders and writers for no appreciable value. Nobody goes into these fields and we're left with the same AI art, movies and games forever.

Tractors, factories, trains all make our lives easier because the task it is automating makes our lives more livable. Automating art just makes our lives more difficult. We need to get rid of this crap before we completely lose ourselves.

Original Description
This is a collection of 800+ portraits scoured from Pinterest. I did not make these, all I did was crop and resize them. If an artist wants one of them removed, I'd be happy to do so, though this mod was made for personal use in mind and not with the intent to profit off other people's work. All portraits are all properly tagged by race/gender/class/tech, so they should only show up where it makes sense.

They mostly all fit with the European aesthetic of Wizards and Warlords, though human cultures with the Bushido trait will be given Japanese-style portraits. Portraits were picked with a good mix of genders, skintones, levels of attractiveness, according to my personal preferences. So not a lot of chainmail bikinis, sexy orcs, cartoony characters with oversized weapons. Subterranean elves are given special "dark elf" portraits.

Most common races have been given new portraits, but not all of them.
