Opis

King's Cove, CA

Rodriguez Cabrillo visited King’s Cove California on February 25, 1542 and named the area Ensenada del Rey. He noted it’s inviting shores, fertile lands and safe harbor which could serve as a perfect port and settlement. The area remained undeveloped and passed from Spanish to Mexican hands after independence. The area then passed into American hands after the Mexican-American War in 1848. The area was purchased by the King family who used the coast as a fishery to feed the growing population of 49ers in the San Francisco area. The King family transferred the area into their holding company, King Holdings, and kept the area undeveloped until the Great Recession of 2010. Following the Great Recession King Holdings sold the land to the State of California to serve as a new city on the Pacific Coast. The environmental impact studies have been completed and San Martin Bay is now open for development as America’s new great port on the Pacific…

If you search small star fort there is one, and also there's San Cristobal Fortress, which is a larger 17th century star fort.

Thanks Winter_Wolf! Please let me know if you find such a prop because I didn't see one that can be used as a prop in the map editor.

I will have to check this out. I love the history behind it too, it makes me want to plop in an old colonial fort as a historical site on the coast (I think I've seen some on the workshop before).
