Short Introduction

So, when I begun playing Euro Truck Simulator, 7 years ago, I found myself actually bankruppt the first playtrough. After some planning of my costs I managed to sum up 20,000 euros before stopping for some time.

I must mention that Euro Truck Simulator does really require patience because the gameplay as you know is very repetitive.

So,for the lack of any better ideas for an intro, let's get right to it.
Strategy Plan - Walktrough
Country of starting

When starting off in your newly created Euro Truck world, you are faced with choosing the country of start. I shall talk about my own playtrough, the current one of now, 44 hours (on steam).

The best country of starting is Scwitzerland, because it will unlock Italy with it. The EuroGoodies company in Rome will surelly boost your budget. Always take the jobs to Bern, cause they will give up to 8,000 euros per delivery and the jobs from Bern to Rome will give you slightly less, up to 6,000.

What to do next?

It will take a bunch of trips to ammass 25,000 euros. After that, it's a great idea to buy the ADR Class 3 licence in EuroGoodies in Rome. Make sure that you at least have 5,000 euros left, for unexpected costs. This will help you boost your budget a ton, considering there are jobs that pay up to 16,000.

WORTH NOTING! Jobs do disappear! For example,if you take a job of 8,000 at EuroGoodies, the job won't be there anymore once you return to the same EuroGoodies in Rome for example.

After you've gotten around 40,000 which might take up to 5-6 hours, I recommend purchasing access to another country, that being Austria. Remember the jobs disappear, so you need smaller countries before you can access big countries like Germany which is our very main goal here.

So,you've now expanded your manuvering space. Things might go slow if you take some other routes, considering that the ADR Class 3 licence jobs will only be available in Rome at this point. The ADR Class 3 licence jobs to Wienna will also pay good, considering it's further away from Bern.

The next big thing is of course - Germany. From what I can recall now, the access costs around 58,000 euros. I highly recommend that you always leave AT LEAST 5,000 euros for,as said before, unexpected costs. You might miss a gas station and you might need to call the SOS if you end up with an empty tank.

Now,having expanded your access to countries, you will get more jobs for your ADR Class 3 in EuroGoodies in Rome. The prices are up to 19,000! So now you will earn money much faster.

WORTH NOTING! Costs! Gas costs are quite high. For your trip from Rome to Germany you must use at least 800 - 1200 for gas, depending on where you pour gas. Gas prices are different, mostly depending on the type of the gas station (this is not a rule, but it is like that for 95% of the time). Gas stations alongside the road are the best. They have lowest prices from 1.057 euro per liter to 1.257. The tucked away gas stations with their own drive in, that are very away from the road will cost from 1.257 to1.557 euro. They should be avoided. The stations that you should DEFINITELY avoid are right next to country borders. They will go up to 2.057 euro per liter. Basically half a tank can be filled for like 500 euro on the cheaper kind as opposing to the same ammount of liters on the border gas station that can cost up to 700 or more.

Also a little side note I'd like to add - The truck tank should be filled seldomly. Only when it hits half or bellow half is the time to refill it. I've done an experiment and a full tank of gas can travel from Rome to near Berlin. So no need to fill it often.

But i digress. The next goal is France. After you've unlocked France, next is Spain. Always take jobs at EuroGoodies, and if possible jobs that have the most distance and with ADR Class 3 licence and you've got yourself a sweet jackpot.

After France or eventually spain, you'd actually be able to buy a truck. Though i'd not recommend it cause the trucks that are not the starter one are too fast and you can even get a ticket for speeding on a highgway. But at least, you get some new interiors to look at for your long trips.
If you want to do it yourself completely
In case you want to do the strategy plan yourself, here's some tips for you:

-Always unlock countries that are bigger and have more GDP
-Always fill the truck under the half or on the half of the tank
-Keep track in your head on how much you spend on gas per job. It gathers up,trust me.
-Take a job that has the highest possible value that the city you're in can offer. (recommended company EuroGoodies)
-EuroAcres company will pay low, Wood ET will pay good,so will EuroGoodies.
-Always keep close watch on your rear view mirrors
-Save oftenly. Every city or every 2 cities, trust me it helps a ton.
-Always use direction lights, the AI is smart and it will brake abruptly if you are about to enter their lane.

Finishing Words
I really want to thank you for reading trough my guide, I tried my best to explain how you can utilize your choices effectivelly in this game because the game's of course, economy based and one wrong move and you might lose your money easily.

Thank you and hey,I might upload another Strategy guide on a very dear game to me, Hard Truck Apocalypse which I believe I have around 8 years of experience with (I had these 2 games in boxed copies, just recently acquired steam copies)

Good luck with your game!
