Professional Realism

Now available for every difficulty level, but the best effect is obtained on Expert. Professional Realism employs all standard Realism rules with a few important changes:

• No respawns throughout the campaign. If you die, the only way to come back is by defib.
  
• Common infected deal double damage (4 on Normal, 10 on Advanced, 40 on Expert).
  
• No HUD, no tracers, no radial menu, no infected kill/protect confirmations.
  
• No magnums.
  
• Special infected attack more quickly and can spawn from behind you.
  
• Higher friendly fire damage.
  
• Health after getting revived with defib = 81 HP.
  
• Total party wipeout = return to lobby.

The most important point is that if you die, you will NOT respawn in the next saferoom. You won't respawn in a rescue closet. You won't respawn ever. The ONLY way to revive someone is with a defibrillator. Furthermore, defibs are disabled on One Life and L4D1 modes. In addition, if everybody dies, you all get sent back to the lobby.

Professional Realism Training: Same as PR but infected do regular damage, permawipe disabled.
Professional Realism Training - One Life: Same as PR - One Life but infected do regular damage, permawipe disabled.
Professional Realism Training - L4D1: Same as PR - L4D1 but infected do regular damage, permawipe disabled.

***NOTE*** Due to the fact that I had to make direct changes to the scoreboard to get a completely clean HUD, this may conflict with HUD mods. To get the intended effect, use without any other HUD mods. Furthermore, if enabled in the addons folder, it will leave you without healthbars or other icons in the scoreboard (Tab). I recommend disabling it if you're playing a mode other than Professional Realism.

KNOWN BUGS: On very rare occasions, a dead player from a previous map may respawn in a later saferoom. This is just an issue with the way the game is coded as it really doesn't like permadeath scripts and will actively try to prevent them from happening.
