Tomcat's Complete Chalet Pack Levels 1-5
7 objets
Description
**NOV 2020: this style DOES work. There is a bug in the default styles system - it shows that all but one house is "missing". The bug is mentioned (with screenshot) but also says the style works as it should under step 4 here: https://steamoss.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1705820948
I tested: all the chalets do spawn as normal and none are actually missing.**

---------------------------------------------------------
This is the "District Style" (aka building theme) system that is included in the game itself (non modded), which goes with the new pack of Tomcat's Chalet Housing Pack (low residential levels 1 to 5). Using this item allows you to use the Chalet pack without having to use mods like RICO or Building Themes by District. Those mods are excellent, but this allows a similar functionality, albeit with much less robust customization as the mods.

You can use this for a new game, or add it to your existing game and start growing chalet districts.

It will allow you to set a district to this style and have Chalets for your low residential housing.

Note! Some regular houses may pop up if there is a lot size that the chalet pack does not have. One example is a 1x1 lot - There is no 1x1 chalet, so you will get a default house if you leave open a zoned 1x1 lot. Simply de-zone if you don't want that lot filled in with a default house.

To use:
- Subscribe to this and to the Chalet House Pack and its 2 required trees and 2 require props
- In game, go to Content Manager
- Click Styles tab
- Activate Chalet Style
- Start your game!

Ah okay. Thanks for that info, that will help to know! I haven't used the styles system in a long time, but one reason for not using it is that I remember it being kind of wonky. Sounds like it's still wonky. :winter2019joyfultearssnowman:

It seems it's not only your style. Somebody told me she has the same issue with another style.

Hello MrMiyagi and thanks for the quick answer. But the fact is I tried to change multiple times and it seems if I select a district style that comes before the chalet one in the drop down, it seems to work, but if I take another after your district style, it includes chalets. It's quiet strange.

Hi Djoul, nope this doesn't take any priority over other styles. Here's the only thing I can think of. Double check on the district panel that you've clicked the drop down and selected the other style (i.e. not Chalet). It might be defaulting to chalet since that is the last one you had selected.

Since I used this style for one of my maps, when I create a new district anywhere else, on the same city or another, chalets are build even if the district is under another style. Does this style take, for some buildings, priority on other district styles ?

Cool! Glad it's something you'll have fun with!

@razzlanator because different people make mods that require other people's mods in order to function, ffs. That's how this who workshop thing is constructed. :steammocking:

Why do some mods have their own depencies? like mod A need B and C but B and C need A to work... ff just pack everything in one mod
