THIS is how you make a proper remake of a cult classic. They didn't dumb it down for the new era, they added no hand-holding, no whim-catering, no bull of any kind. I believe they've kept several things annoying on purpose. Because you must suffer, insect. Visual style - fantastic, atmosphere - vivid and tense, gameplay doesn't stop to deliver and you just can't stop going, no matter how frustrating it gets.

Changing review to negative (after 100+ hrs played), because Fatshark is F*D UP. I'm sorry, but they are. It's like they want to destroy their own game, even thought it could easily live long and prosper.

Launch was near-disastrous, updates are very inconsistent, things are still broken, players' feedback is ignored. There have been no meaningful content updates for months, and no roadmap for anything. It feels half-abandoned, yet the price still holds at AAA level. In an obvious comparison, DRG is EIGHT TIMES cheaper, yet INFINITE TIMES more complete, wholesome and playable.

This could've been a lifetime achievement for Fatshark. Instead it fails hard, and in very avoidable ways, which makes things so much sadder.
