Story wise each character have their flaws and strengths. Michael who hates himself for being impulsive as he can not help himself most of the time but he wants to get better, Franklin is the most sane character among them with no visible mental problem, he probably represents the voice of reason of the player in the game, and finally Trevor who is the craziest one among them, a bloodthirsty maniac but extremely loyal to his friends.
Gameplay wise they all have their own singular unique power. Michael to slow down time on foot, Franklin to slow down time while driving and Trevor to go on a rampage.
Missions were well designed and interesting to play through, I did not get lost nor did I feel like my hand was being held too much, they found the balance there.
