Flawless remake. Graphics are on par with current gen expectations and the game is optimized extremely well. Reliving that primal fear 15 years later with 4k upscalling and 7.1 surround sound really made for an incredible experience. Thanks, Motive - for the nostalgic resurrection!

Fight!, spawn fight, shoot gun, miss, get headshot, re-queue, on boss lair, wipe two teams, double bounty, wipe third team, extract. There doesn't ever seem to be any in-between, and I haven't rage uninstalled a game more frequently than this one, but I always end up coming back.

1. Load server list
2. Find server with friends
3. Join and create squad
4. Forget historically accurate call-outs
5. Get kicked

Fun in small doses as long as you don't end up with a group of neanderthal D&D GMs that will bite your head off because you forgot "uber" before disengaging your radio.

This will likely reign in as my favorite game of 2023. With a single play-through, the number of hours I've accumulated have resulted in my impeccable ability to flipendo cows, yeet puffskeins across the map, and weave in and out of narrow tunnels, trees, and bandit camps with my broom. The graphics are incredible - and are now running much more smoothly via recent patches. The world is rich with both quest and adventure content whether you are scouring caves for loot, chasing down a group of poachers to save beasts, fighting trolls and spiders in the arena, or saving Hogwarts.

10/10 and cannot wait for additional content while I'm still seemingly grinding to level 40.

9 hours in and so far really impressed. For the price, you get pretty good graphics, great jump scare factor, good replay-ability, and an excellent four-player co-op horror game night experience. Excited to see what future updates bring with expanded maps, new locations, smoother ghost behavior, and more randomized jump scares.

I've hyped this game up amongst my friend group for years. Planning my current build specifically around the release date. I give it 10/10 in my book, but it will definitely disappoint in multiple areas for most. The combat is extremely repetitive, on maximum difficulty I completed almost the whole game with the baton and item management is way too easy. The ending is terrible, and the fact Starkiller is the main antagonist (no spoiler, he's the 3rd best rendered character in any store screenshots) and is only present a few times in infuriating; it's staged to be a cliff hanger and left me kind of aggravated.

Now for the good; it's absolutely gorgeous. Running a 6950XT, 5800X3D, 32GB @ 3600Mhz, I ran through the game at full max settings upscaled to 4K with very little stuttering or graphical issue and around 90ish fps. Atmospherically, it is absolutely stunning and the micro details on a notebook, or a desk coaster, or random lab tray are astonishing. It's gorgeously put together but it does require a diesel engine to really enjoy. The story is compelling and plays like a movie, there is a lot to be desired as far as character depth but at face value it's well put together.

All in all, 10/10 for me, will absolutely sit in a tent to wait for the DLC, and I strongly suggest it to any and all Deadspace / mid-gen RE type gamers - on sale. It's not a $60 title. If you do play it, please smack tf out of every frozen enemy - for me.

36 hours in at time of review and loving it. Stellar game. Can be extremely rewarding or debilitating and punishing. Similar feelings to Rust without the obnoxious world chat and constant voice spam (Press F1 for respects). Graphics and gameplay mechanics are smooth and overall the scenery looks great. 10/10 will play any day over Tarkov.

I have been waiting for this game since 2013. I played the first Dying Light to death on both PS4 and PC, including DLCs. Repetition does exist, but it's not enough to bash it like it's an AC or related type of game. The world is absolutely beautiful, colors pop, the environment is lush and dense with great detail, and.. come one.. it's a free-running open world zombie slasher. I will probably play this incessantly until 3 comes out.. in 10 years. 10/10 from me, incredible game and absolutely worth retail price - coming from a huge Dying Light fan.
