为拖时间也设计过多的岔路 与几乎没有的引导是让我不能接受的,配音,游戏的美术风格也不错,但我游玩的过程中为什么不由自主的想到了奥日去对比,游戏的整体还是不错的,希望继续去努力, 没有达到我的心里预期。

作为一款CRPG游戏,本作拥有超高的自由度,和创造性的可玩性。不愧是那个创造了《神界原罪》的拉瑞安,这里实在是不得不夸奖一下游戏的创造性玩法了。游戏给玩家提供了相当多的技能可用,而又在场景中设置了相当多的任务,有些任务允许玩家正常完成,也允许玩家发挥自己的想象力运用各种属性和物理特性来“走偏门”完成,甚至可以通过一些非正当手段来完成。例如当玩家需要击杀某个角色来获得掉落物品的时候,玩家可以选择一名角色与其聊天,再派盗贼小偷潜行过去把物品偷来。这都是比较常见的基本的操作了。再比如说游戏种几乎人人都会做的一件事,就是在序章飞船上,用影心使用命令术将卡扎克的火焰剑卸掉,在很早期就获得了一把伤害力非常高的外观非常帅的大剑。再比如运用一些属性和物理特性的方式,将地上的油点燃来焚烧大量的敌军,在高处对着敌人使用推的操作,将敌人直接推下去,所有的创造性玩法都是被允许的,甚至玩家也可以当一个大恶人,屠城杀人,消灭遇见的每一个人。如此之高的自由度和可玩性是最吸引我的地方。大量的可操作性让玩家不断发现新的玩法,找到新的发现。

You know, all these reviews that are just copypastas and memes(or for this game. pleads of bringing P5R to PC) are getting me sick and tired. What about you hear a real review? I won't speak anything of the story as a. my playtime is low b. youd probably be looking at this from an outsider perspective.

Is P5S worth it? First off, yes. Musou games get really fun once you get the hang of it and all the characters all have unique traits(except Morgana getting a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ weak 1 damage battering ram move. Not cool Atlus.) and once it gets on a roll, the gameplay gets addicting. First off, the first jail is seriously a chore to get through and it may make it seem like there is nothing else to do. But they made the decision to bar all the side studff until you can get to your next jail.

Second off, I said it's worth it But only on a sale please. It may have a good gameplay loop but I find this to be a bit... lacking for its current normal price

Third off, you may need to atleast have knowledge of PS's plot to get the story

Next, the music is amazing and absolutely gets you in the mood to straight destroy

The game also has a semi open world aspect where you get to buy stuff so you can cook or get it ready for use. Also be sure to always talk to your teammates in the non-metaverse map if its a new day. They will usually harbor some loot for you.

Umm... damn writing a long review is hard.

youtube comments and even don't google the names of the characters. If you need help, search specifically for spoiler-free walkthrough. Ace Attorney trilogy is one of my best gaming experiences, but If I wasn't so nosy, it could have been even better.

Now for the actual review.

Background: I never played any Ace Attorney game before and never been a fan of anime or visual novels, rather the opposite. I was just looking for a good detective game (my favorites at that time being Unheard and Contradiction), and saw that this series was often recommended in reviews for other games that i liked.
The game is not cheap and I wasn't sure if I would like it, so I waited for a couple of months for a 50% discount. Now I know that it was unnecessary, because after an hour I already knew that the game is definitely worth its price.

Gameplay
There are 14 cases (episodes) split into 3 games. I recommend playing the games in order. The last episode of the first game was added after the whole trilogy was done, so don't be surprised that it's a bit different from the others.
Most cases contain:
investigation parts (walk around, click on things, talk with people, use a couple of extra game mechanics to gather information)
trial parts (cross-examine witnesses, present evidence if you find contradictions, suffer moderate emotional abuse, make prosecutors angry, don't let the judge fall asleep).
There are no time-based mechanics, you play at your own pace.

I found investigation parts more enjoyable than most point-and-click mystery/detective-like puzzles. It's clear which objects are interactive and which not, and there is no pixel-hunting, as the objects have reasonable size. Not all interactive objects move the investigation forward, some of them just trigger brief dialogues, so you're not forced to click on everything. You can't use inventory items directly on the scene, but you can present them to people. You go back and forth between multiple locations, and there are usually some hints that you're done with the current part of the plot and can move somewhere else, but it's not like the game is constantly hand-holding you.
The game rewards players who like to thoroughly inspect all things on the scene - recurring jokes, evolving stories and other stuff which doesn't affect the main plot but is fun to discover.

Trial parts are the most thrilling ones. What I also like about them is that the game doesn't treat you like a small child and allows you to actually think.
For example, sometimes you need to choose an answer to a question, where all answers are somewhat plausible, so you can't simply guess. Sometimes you need to read the documents or carefully examine photos to find the subtle clues which aren't explicitly written in item description. When you present a photo or a floor plan as evidence, the judge may ask you to point at the exact location to look at.


Graphics are ok, they do the job. The trilogy was originally made in 2001–2004, this is the remaster of the original art, so don't be surprised when you see flip phones or weird-looking computers.
The animations are what really drew my attention. As far as I know, originally they were done on a budget and limited by the console hardware. The animations are minimal, but don't look cheap at all — they can convey character traits and their emotional states with just a handful of frames, and you never feel like you're talking to a static doll.
If you're like me, you may find the screen shake effect annoying and will immediately turn it off in the settings. I couldn't stand it at first, but then decided to turn it on in later episodes, and it just felt so much better.


At first I found music kinda bland, but quickly grew to like it, and by the end of the first game — absolutely loved it. The second and third games have weaker soundtracks imo, but I strongly recommend to keep the music on anyway. It's... well, you'll see. It's important.


Writing
Plot twists, a lot of them. Some are predictable if you pay attention to everything that's happening, but sometimes the game does a good job of distracting you during the trials, you accidentally forget it and then get a satisfying "aha" moment just before the final revelation.
Even if you realize something important before your character does, the suspense doesn't go away. There were cases that constantly kept me on the edge of the seat during the last couple of hours, and there were moments of "oh looks like I have an idea... wait... nononononono please no".
The game has its share of epic, emotional moments, and I wouldn't say that they are
overdone or used too often.

The characters range from "ungodly cool" to "mildly annoying" to "I want to punch them in the face so hard". Some are outright grotesque, some are relatable, and some have excellent well-written character development throughout the whole story.
There's plenty of both subtle and not-so-subtle humor, so even as the game becomes somewhat darker at the end, you'll still get your well-timed moments of comic relief.


Problems
There's nothing critical and these problems are rare, but I'll list them anyway.
Some characters and scenes are too annoying.
Some cases have long boring parts.
Some reasoning (especially in the second game) doesn't make sense to me.
Sometimes the game changes the gameplay rules that it established earlier — iirc, in the first game you never needed to press statements in certain order, but later you will need to, which can be frustrating to figure out.
In any case, if you feel that you're stuck and not having fun, I'd recommend to use walkthrough for these moments to save time and sanity.


In the end, I highly recommend this game — I enjoyed the gameplay as much as the story and got really attached to some of the characters. I'd be glad if I could forget everything and play it again, it was a wonderful experience.
