this game is a mixed bag for me currently. The new parkour mechanics are a bit of a pain but eventually i came to like or at least tolerate them with some new moves adding some nice variety and control. The combat is interesting, i like the idea of the parry system but in time of playing i didn't find myself using it and almost abandoning melee due to it being ineffective especially in NG+ due to level scaling. Level scaling is a mess as you will overpower zombies on your first run until you NG+ and then everything overpowers you but you gain little to no upgrades therefore left struggling against stronger enemies. I didn't like the story and didn't care for most of the characters as i felt they weren't fleshed out enough. The main killer in my opinion though is the side content with the quarantine zones being the same interior copy pasted. The zombie boss fights were cool until you realise they are all the same thing copy pasted. The night time abandoned stores etc were cool but i ended up ignoring them for the most part due to them lacking worthy loot for late/ midgame. Night time is really boring with a lack of challenge as there are no volatiles patrolling roofs meaning there is no risk or suspense while exploring. Personally i didnt find the hunter chapters interesting or fun, the challenges are boring and the rewards are lackluster for the most part. The removal of guns imo isn't that bad however the crossbow outclasses everything in the game for your first run so there is not much point in even trying to melee.

Game still holds up in terms of fun. The graphics are acceptable, the story is okay for the first time but the real fun of the game is multiplayer and the side content. loved doing quarantine zones. Parkour is fluid and feels responsive most of the time. Guns are nice but a bit annoying to use due to virals. Legend levels are a nice touch as you get a goal to grind for endgame. The game is pretty easy if you play on normal IMO and is a lot more engaging if you start on nightmare as you are forced to stealth in the early game. The dlc is nice and cheap now but not necessary to enjoy the game. Easter eggs are cool.

Super fun game to play with friends with some bugs such as being able to shoot through floors if you try hard enough but overall good experience
