First off, LOVE the 3D retro-pixel-cyberpunk aesthetic. Second, the soundtrack is amazing. I played this game after Cyberpunk 2077 and at first tried to compare the two, but they're different animals entirely (and Cyberpunk doesn't have flying cars for players). Don't get me wrong, I love immersive, true-to-life graphics, but there's an undeniable charm in walking through a noir-themed pixelverse, as if you're part of a simulation. And even though I suck at driving in games, flying among those high-rise buildings and exploring the different levels of Nivalis was so much fun. I do wish the merchant NPCs in different areas didn't always have the same face and lines though.

If you like turn-based board-style games, you might like this - as someone who hasn't played those types of games in over a decade, it took some getting used to, so I held out until it was on discount. I'm also not the biggest fan of the art style, but this reminds me on some level of a medieval version of Stellaris, which I adored. Will probably come back to this when that empire-expansion itch strikes again!

Most interesting memories:
(1) Streaking through the wilderness (fig leaves are overrated)
(2) Getting killed <5 minutes after waking up
(3) Trying to kill another guy with a rock as he's out cold, only for him to wake up and out-bash with his own rock
(4) Joining a fair-sized server with only 3 players, and (just my luck) still managing to run into and get killed by 1 of those players

I have mixed feelings about the forced server wipes, but I can see why evening the playing field would be needed. When you're starting out with a rock and adam/eve attire and other players are sporting guns, night vision, and heavily fortified bases, it can be a bit of a cruel playing experience, lol.

As a lover of both cyberpunk and retro/pixel aesthetic, I couldn't say no to this game. The bartender mechanics are simple, the music is top-notch, and I loved listening to everyone's stories, no matter what walk of life they came from. It does make me a little bit more grateful for my current job though - I don't think I could handle a bar in real life, talkative strangers or not.

Beautiful open-world game with stunning graphics and unbelievably detailed space exploration/combat mechanics. Big learning curve if you really want to specialize, but the basics are easy to follow even for a lazy gamer like myself, whose brain tends to shut down when presented with tons of stats.

One thing I was wary about was the player base, which other reviews have really bashed. Maybe many have quit over the years, or I just so happened to spawn in a sparsely-populated area - but I have yet to come across any spam, hate mail, or nasty/bitter players, and it's as simple as minimizing the world chat if you don't want to interact with people (which I usually don't). The idle stuff is what really makes the game work for me. It's nice to be able to queue up some skill training, find a secure asteroid belt and just mine away in the background while studying. The ambient music is awesome for that too.

Scrapping is my new addiction.

P.S. Probably the best Bethesda game I've played yet, even though I'll always have a special love for Skyrim, bugs and all. A+ storyline, beautiful and bleak dystopian landscapes, and even though managing settlements took a bit getting used to at first, I grew to love setting up home bases everywhere (and scrapping EVERYTHING! If only recycling was truly that easy).

The one thing that's (almost) a deal-breaker is the persistent white screen when jumping off stairs. It got to the point where it'd happen about 3x an hour, and the exitsave would be useless since the graphics wouldn't load, so I'd have to go back to my last save, whenever that was. Turning off Wetness in the launcher's Advanced Settings helped a lot, but it still happens once every few hours and I'm not sure why. At least I have another 50+ games in my arsenal if it ever gets to the point where I quit, but I still plan on sticking around to see how the story ends.

A little short for a VN and mildly creepy rather than horrifying, but the graphics were awesome and I liked the interactive bits along with the first-person perspective. I haven't read the actual short story yet, or anything of H.P. Lovecraft, but it's a cool glimpse into his horror / sci-fi world and I'll definitely be checking out his work sometime soon.

"Why, I do believe I am addicted to simulator games!"

-- Me, an intellectual, filling dumpsters with 50-year-old trash for the 3rd day in a row, while unread emails pile up on the PC and passing drivers wonder if they can make the switch to electric before I'm done

10/10 literal and figurative sandbox, in which you can spend hours doing random crap, my favorite pastime. Totally didn't just throw an old car door at lil boy Dennis who keeps showing up to ruin my beautiful paint jobs. Kudos to the devs for turning me into a environmentally conscious bully with a knack for house cleaning.

Absolutely love this game!! Top-notch graphics and combat effects, easy mechanics (much better controls than on mobile, to be sure), and addictive gacha/upgrade system. I'm probably slightly biased because I never got really far on the mobile version, the screen being too small and cluttered to enjoy it properly, so I didn't mind starting over at all on Steam. I also have a soft spot for anime gacha-type games, even though the voices grate on my nerves and I'm not exactly here for the well-endowed female aesthetics; both of which I can overlook as long as the gameplay is fun. I also really like the home setup and customization options that come up later in the game. Hoping some of the other Mihoyo games will eventually make it onto Steam as well!

A great study aid that's similar to Virtual Cottage but with more features! I love the room and pet customization options, being able to send and receive uplifting notes, and having access to more songs than VC, though some are still locked behind a paid DLC which isn't a dealbreaker for me. I would like the option to link a playlist from Youtube, Spotify, or a saved one from my laptop; hopefully this becomes available later on! Overall, a very thoughtfully designed and cute app.

Edit: Please make it possible to rotate items when placing them in custom rooms! Since there's only 1 of each in some cases, such as with the laptop and TV, it really limits the available arrangements. For instance, I wouldn't want to place a TV screen facing away from the couch on a table since I can't rotate either one, lol.
