stolen or lazy assets, terrible dev, not a player stimulated, or run environment at all, big changes and developments need to be made, not just pushing the game along, big fundamental changes.

Greatest game of all time, no other words needed

Very good and accurate depiction of the original, with the obvious touch ups and changes. there are some aspects of the game that I prefer in the original however, like enemy/ character voice lines and design, but that is likely due to the vintage that i have a bias for. the only thing that i will for sure say the original does better is the score, its not as good at setting the tone and it doesnt provoke as much emotion. for example, the fight and first encounter with the regenerador, in the original, as soon as you picked up the key card, that horrible music started playing, along with the noise of metal breaking. this is also reflected in ambiance, like for example again, in the first encounter with the regenerador, in the original, there is the fan that is whirring above you, and you can clearly hear the breathing of the creature, as well as a very good off-putting track. the remake just lacks this kind of power to use sound to pull the player deeper into situations, which again, may jsut be my bias for the first game and the age at which i played it. over all the game is very good, and has alot of call backs to the original (krauser saying WITNESSS THE POWER, the drive song playing in the shooting range, and many of the merchant lines) that really gives the game a sense of nostalgia, although the score and enviorment building doesnt comapre to the original, like there are still some songs from the original that i love and remember distinctly (drive, serenity, regenerador theme). 9/10
