So, what's the matter? You wanna live forever?

Team Fortress 2 might be underestimated in comparison to modern titles, but the gameplay still holds up today and often surpasses games which took on its formula of a class based shooter. You just can't beat the original. It has an impressive amount of weapons and items to choose from; many of which are class specific. Each class plays differently and requires their own skillsets to master. I won't even get into subclasses, which can also be incredibly fun to explore.

The voice acting in this game has soul. There is a reason these characters have had and still have such a culutral impact. It's not just the design, everything from the sounds and artstyle to the voice acting is just filled with joy. There's just no online shooter quite like it. All the characters are so recognisable, that you could still tell them apart from a mile away.

Don't get me wrong, the game can be a bit janky at times. It is not perfect from a technical standpoint, far from it, but as you play you'll realise: Nodoby cares. It's fun. Often times even more fun because of some bugs. Now that the bot issue has been mostly resolved, each match is just pure TF2 again. Even if you want to get competitive, this game has a deceivingly high skill ceiling. You can play on community servers or competitive mode to explore all this game has to offer, which goes beyond just casual mode.

TF2 isn't just a game. It's a trading platform, a place to make friends and an incredible world to get invested in through the lore. It's a community with some of the most talented artists and content creators I have ever seen. I heavily suggest you watch some of the incredible SFM's people made about this game, the official "Meet the Team" videos, the comics which now finally got a proper ending and the countless video essays on why this game is just so enticing and has lived so long with no end in sight.

It is the only game, where you do the Kazotsky Kick with the enemy team. The only game, where you start doing a conga line instead of capturing intel. The only online shooter that's not just about winning, but about having true fun. Team Fortress 2 as a game and community is just really, really fun.
