9.5/10 for this type of a game

Raw. Wait a year or so before purchasing. A lot of small bugs (not horrible, but it reduces the overall gameplay quality). generally feels like they didn't bother much with the game. a lot of copypaste, npcs have only a few repeatable phrases. this game doesn't show the "soul" of the devs. same idea of the game, better graphics, but barely any filling inside. comparing DL1 and DL2, in DL1 "the soul" of the devs is given to the game 10/10 and here it is like 5/10. "here is a repeated product with tons of repeated repeats inside, enjoy <3".

Just finished the game on hardcore (whole game 2x party experience). I'd rate it 3-4/10. Out of good sides not bad fighting, nice looking open world, good looking graphics, well implemented coop. The rest of any other things in the game are either neutral or bad.

the start of the game is made for players who have played and know defaults of the dark souls series. No pre-game tutorial. first fight is a boss and you are supposedly should have knowledge about buttons and game mechanics to fight it, but if you don't, you die and start your 3 min running marathon to the boss from the initial spawn. 60 fps cap is a joke in 2022. Controller doesnt work even tho everything is shown in controller buttons (steam sees controller and it is working in steam but not in game). from my pov you might enjoy this game if you are a fan of ds series or if you are a masochist
