The Game has a lot of issue, dosent mean its bad but they do bring down the experience. And for some people it will just ruin the experience. In these times i wish steam had a Mixed option for reviews

The Game has Awful pacing issues. The main quest itself is interesting, the story of the game is interesting. But the way they sectioned off everything is so unfun it makes you want to stop playing. Especially towards the 50% point of the story


The Game does this thing where it separates the interesting bit of story and gameplay with 1 hour of boring side fetch quests.

Example : You fight big giant monster in an epic fight for an Hour, then for the next 3 missions you are force into boring fetch quest missions. Go talk to person A then go Talk to Person B who is 20 feet away then go talk to person C , then go Back to person A . Then go fight 4 random guys on path and boom mission done.

The Game tries to be an ARPG , RPG , MMORPG and just an action game at the same time. It ends up doing everything poorly. Theres not enough RPG elements to make it an RPG, so it just ends up feeling like leftovers.
The Quest design and world environments feels straight out pulled from FF14 wich makes it feel like an MMO , But its not one. Also not an ARPG like FF7 Remake. More of a hack and slash like Devil May Cry


The Game is also so easy that even boss fights feel like a chore. I played on the Action mode and i don't know why but theres no hard option. You need to finish the game a first time to unlock '' Final Fantasy '' mode. Kinda goes back to the MMO quest design. Just giving you 3-5 basic enemies and going '' Here have fun '' When i completed entire fights by using 1 ability. Then at some point even boss fights feel like a chore , because they aren't hard ( appart from the few last bosses)
I died exactly 3 times in 34 hours. 2 of these deaths are in the last 3 boss fight of the game


Then theres performances issues, I have an RX6600 with an AMD ryzen 5 3600. Wich runs the game fine. Until it dosent. Random frame drops. Sometimes the frame-rate would be at 120, then cutscene happens and after that my game starts lagging and goes down to a sluggish 20 FPS. I restart my game and BOOM all the problems are gone. The Game is poorly optimised. If you have anything under my configuration, then i would recommend not buying the game.



Characters are likeable , Clive is a top tier Final Fantasy protagonist. The Accompanying cast is also great. The combat is great the skill tree and the way Eikons swapping works is super smooth and fun. The Big Eikons boss fight are super fun and remind me a bit of Naruto Ninja Storm 4 big summons fight. And when you aren't busy doing the fetch quests , the main story is genuinely pretty good



Its a fun game, with fun combat, good characters , and a good plot. Bogged down , by awful Pacing and MMO type quests, some terrible optimisation and performance. The lack of a harder difficulty makes the game boring after the 25th hour because of the redundancy of fighting little groups of weak enemies for the 15th time

Buy on sale or on a key website if you don't care about refunding it.

If your game dosent launch from steam, and dosent show up in Ubisoft Connect at all.

A potential FIX is to :

Open Ubisoft Connect > Go to your profile > Settings > Other > then unlink steam account

Then when you open the game its gonna ask for you to re-connect your steam account, then it should work


Still the fact that i had to do all that is dumb asf


Also the game blows

When i get to the Capital Park , the game consistently crashes. I get a Driver error message. Even tho my drivers are up to date. (Rx6600)

Looked it up online, and apparently you have to revert you're drivers to 2022 drivers.

So if you are using an RX6600 watch out cause the game might not be playable anymore

This game would be fun if it wasn't for the fact it never auto saves. Played for 1h15 straight, did 2 quests then started a 3rd one. Ran out of morale, proceeded to kill myself, and then i have no choice but to redo 1h of gameplay minimum. And if im lucky not fail any checks i passed before.

Edit because random angry guy on steam took it to my profile comments: THE GAME IS GOOD I LIKE IT, i only find it annoying that the save system is annoying. Then the dude proceeded to go ''ermm zoomer attention span'🤓' . And then he goes '' ermm theres no way you had to redo an hour of gameplay because of how the save system works 🤓'' like bro go say that to the game save files

Even if i wanted to play i cant. In NA i tried all the servers keeps saying i cant join cause they full

So why does it even say the population is ''low'' if when i click on it , it says its too crowded. Like Huh???
Also the game recommends some low population servers, wich when u click on then says they are Crowded and you cant play.

I have tried 15 servers. The only fix i found is switching to the Korean servers, wich hahah no thanks

Fun game , except when it stutters

Never had a game Stutter and freeze so much. Tried Restarting, changing graphic setting, updated graphic driver. Nothing works .

In a game where some hits remove half ur health instantly , losing a boss fights cause game stuttered makes an already frustrating game , more frustrating

IF U HAVE <<< BLUETOOTH >> Headphones. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME.

For some reason after 5 Years they never bothered to fix the audio problems. If you play with Bluetooth headphones , you most likely will experience audio glitches. It will either sound like you are under water, or start cracking and you will lose sound every 2 seconds. Problem dosent happen with cabled headphones, only Bluetooth.

The Actual Smash part of it is pretty bad.

The Controls are floaty and unresponsive.
The First you unlock character has literally 2 special moves , Side special and up special. Thats all. Compared to smash with : Up B , Side B, Down B and neutral B. So the fights are really boring cause u just end up spamming one move and win.

I cant commend on the Hentai Visual Novel part of it, i don't really care about it

So in my original review of the base game i said : '' Fun Time but god some of these bosses are stupid and unfun to fight ''

And it kinda just amplifies by 10x with the DLC. I have beat every fromsoft game appart from Bloodborne. The Final Boss of the Extension is the definition of no fun.

Heres general complaints about the DLC and the bosses

- Hit-boxes of Messmer Snakes and Commander Gaius Boar Charge are so inconsistent that it leaves it to RNG if u will roll trough or get hit.

- The 7 attacks string combos that leave u either Dead or on 1 hp and u think u would have time to heal , but you don't cause they have either input reading , or another 7 string combo incoming

Performances issues around crowded areas of the map or when particle effects.

Speaking of particles , you cant see ♥♥♥♥ 90% of the time somebody jizzes on the screen.

Also i want fromsoft to stop doing mounted boss and big bosses that go over the screen. Cant tell whats going on

Final boss Specific :

Consort Radahn is the hardest boss in the series by a long shot , but not in a fun way. I appreciate Stuff like Gael, hard but fair with clear openings. Or even Ishin , hard and will punish you , but fair if u get parry's correctly

Radahn is not that, 7 string combos , inconsistent follow ups , questionable hitboxes on some moves, Absurd damage, dosent take any damage. And then his 2nd phase is just when he becomes funny.

Lasers, ultra instinct , after images, lasers , more after images, 9 string Combos with lasers . More inconsistent then phase 1.

See there was a point in Dark Souls 3 that if you remembered and learned all the patters for Gael , you were rewarded with a win. You knew if he leaped towards you he would do that next. Radahn dosent give a single ♥♥♥♥. Did he do the exact same follow up to his combos 99 times in a row before ? Nah 7 string combo incoming that you aren't ready for cause its the first time he ever does it

Also can we calm down on the Aftershock explosions , i think almost every boss has at least one

A note on performances , whenever radahn switches to 2nd phase he lights up the Arena with light , and then instantly 20 Fps, why?

Fromsoft games were known for the '' Hard but Fair'' . I get the Hard part , i don't get the fair part. I did end up beating him by cheesing with Biggest Shield , and Moghwyn Spear, bull-goat armor . And then u poke at him and shield everything.

Overall just not fun. And that's kind of the whole DLC , cool looking , and overall i can respect the ammount of work that went into it . But for 80% of it , just not fun

A bit of good tho,

The DLC is pretty , on par with most fromsoft games.
The Dungeons are very cool.
The New weapons are dope ( Especially the Dragon Hunter Great Katana )
And a few of the bosses are quite nice ( Bayle especially) EVEN Messmer ( minus the weird snake hit-box)

I could also rant a bunch about Commander Gaius annoying asf run and hit fight.

TLDR : I don't mind Hard , but i mind Unfair and Unfun.

One of the only Light Novel adult games i actually liked. Its corny asf sometimes , but overall its a good one.

Tho i would like to point out something a little sketchy, the creator is currently working on season 2 and u can buy the << parts >> or <<episodes>> of the seasons already individually on his external page. I was curious only to see that the price of the episodes range from 5$ to up 15$ Canadian. Wich i wouldn't mind if the episodes weren't all somewhere around 20 mins each , where as this games episodes range more from 1h to 1h30.

As of right now from the external website , if u add all the released part together , i would have to pay close to 50$ CAD. So double the price of the Season 1 ( Full price ) on steam. For less content? I stay sceptical
