This game is really special

I am well aware of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ launch in the history of gaming, false adverts, poor performance on release and such, but man... even in 2020 on a freaking PS4 Pro i fell in love with it.

In my opinion, CB77 is a perfect example of synthesis of good gameplay and cinematic experience. It's hella fun to run around and slice/shoot your enemies, drive through the streets of NC, but then a moment later being in an emotional rollercoaster of main story and sidequests with all the well crafted scenes and incredible OST which is a masterpiece on its own.

Yes, it took this game almost 3 years to become that good, but i respect CDPR for taking an L and trying to fix stuff, despite all the laughs.

The story, characters, music, city and atmosphere + revamped gameplay are so good that imo they overshadow all the problems you can encounter. And making the game in first person was a huge W, it adds like 1000 points to immersion. Yes, game is lacking in choice/consequence department, but imo - i am okay with it, i rather take good, but mostly linear, story than a lame attempt to make "branching" storytelling which usually can lead to compromises and sacrifices making story less emotionally impactful

And Phantom Liberty expansion... hands down, one of the best gaming experiences i have ever had. Action packed, with cool and complex characters, with new district utilizing more verticality, insane OST, more insights about game world and such.

For all those who never played this game - it is really worth to try, you can clearly see soul in it, that it was created as an interesting and fun experience, piece of art and not only as a product.
