Pirate game where edgy pajama guys run from you but merchants are aggressive as wild animals, he goldhoarding gold hoarders hoard gold, the amount of bounty skull enjoyers are nonexistent. Who even is Athena ??

Not a game for everybody but if you are into 2D strategy/base building this is a wonderfull game with a lot of mods if you want a twist or something more challenging.
Edit: With the appearance of the DLCs the depth of the game and the ways you can play it are expanded even more, making it enjoyable on every new run
