My first souls game, and a very good introduction to the series. The boss designs are some of the most memorable I have seen in gaming, and the combat (with the ashes of war and great variety in weapons) is appreciated. I will say while I have enjoyed this game greatly (to the point of even doing a RL1), I don't really care for the open world stuff, to the point where the world doesn't really feel 'lived in' and I tend to ignore most of that stuff - even in the DLC (despite beautiful landscapes). Still would recommend.
