LAUNCH REVIEW:

I would like to start off by saying if you like this game, Im glad you do. There isn't anything wrong with that. I wish I did. But for me and plenty of other people, we are left disappointed.

As a Battlefield fan, I don`t like how this game came out. DICE has gone too far from the original Battlefield gameplay to the point of it being unrecognizable. Even with all the problems BFV had, it still felt like it was a Battlefield game. The content brought back from the previous games in portal are more fun than 2042 itself. This feels like its trying to be a copy of Apex and Warzone instead of a Battlefield title.

I really hate the operator system. The operators get rid of the teamwork that was needed in the previous games in the series. Everyone has the ability to have a ammo crate or health pack. These operators feel like they were ripped out of Black Ops 4.

The gunplay feels awkward along side with poor hit registration. Personally I don't like how the game feels moving around. The weapons themselves are pretty bad. The guns are too weak and everyone has too much health. Players are bullet sponges in this game and the weapons feel very inaccurate.

The maps are beautiful but too large, even with 128 players. It feels like I am playing a battle royale with all the walking through an empty map Ive done.

There are also some features missing such as no server browse fore conquest, no scoreboard, no squad switching, no voice chat, no ALL chat, no campaign, no factions so you're shooting your twin, no weapon/gadget restrictions, unable to see distance to closest medic when downed, etc. Also got rid of first person melee kills for poorly animated third person ones so you can buy new ones, like CoD.

The game is also poorly optimized. Framerate drops and plenty of bugs such as matches not starting, error codes while trying to matchmake, not being able to respwan, etc. This isnt a beta, these bugs should have been fixed. For those saying its early access and we should stop complaining since the game isnt out until Nov 19 seem to not understand that this is the full release. The full game came out on the 12th for those who preordered the gold/ultimate edition. Standard edition is a week later. If you pay $60+ the game should be in a good state.

This game feels like its trying to copy Warzone and Apex but in an inferior way. I personally dont recommend this game since you can get a better experience from the games it tries to copy.
