I know you can’t really compare this game to Civilization, but I gotta say—Civa is way better! Like, what the hell? You can’t just launch a nuke wherever you want? Someone has to be present? And even if they are there, sometimes it still won’t let you? BUT! You can drop it on some random country you’re not even at war with? That makes zero sense!
And don’t even get me started on diplomacy. Freakin’ Stone Age diplomacy—what is this nonsense? Might as well say, "The Parliament voted for peace." Like, what? That’s ridiculous. And it gets worse! I was literally in the Stone Age, like a full-on Nomad, and the game goes, "You have different political desires." ????????
Retreating? Total garbage. My units retreat, and suddenly they’re standing right in another country’s territory, and the game’s like, "Welp, buddy, you already used your retreat. Now you’re screwed!" Bro, what?!
And conquering nations? Absolute trash. I took out everyone, captured their capital, set up a damn outpost, everything. But nooo, that ain’t enough for the game! I step away for a bit, and somehow, not only did that nation survive, but the game randomly gives all their stuff back for no reason! So now I lost experience, time, units, reputation—everything!
And that’s just some of the nonsense. There’s way more, but I ain’t about to type up two full pages of complaints. The game’s kinda fun, but with all this BS, it just kills the vibe. Civ does it so much better—yeah, the combat there is kinda whack, but at least it makes sense!
