Where do I begin?

This game is my new obsession. It is exceptional. The art, the music, the gameplay, the storytelling- the creator (singular- one man made all of this!) simply hit it out of the park in every field.

I have over 70 hours logged and I still have yet to scratch the surface of this immersive and frankly sublime game. It is a wonderful, heartwarming experience than can genuinely make you feel better if you are feeling down, simply because of how cathartic and upbeat the gameplay is.

I made a mistake when I first played this game. I opened up the wiki and thought I would help myself out by looking up certain things. If I could give you one piece of advice, it would be to go into this game blind. I believe it would be even more rewarding than my guided experience, which is saying a lot.

This is simply a must buy. At least give it a try if you are at all interested. Even after all these years, it still holds up and the developer is hard at work making new updates. There is even a co-op mode, which is loads of fun if you've got a friend.
If you haven't heard of or tried this magnificent game yet, I'm begging you to.
It's worth your time.

This, along with Don't Starve itself, was my favorite game from ~2015 to late 2018. It has simple mechanics but endless replayability. It has rich lore and an immersive world, which is made complete by the stellar and completely novel art design. (Enough cannot be said about this game's art and sound design, which is absolutely unparalleled.)

I have well over 200 hours logged in this game and had a blast with each of them. It was joy to play with both friends and complete strangers, who more often than not were very nice and cooperative.

If you are a fan of survival games, are attracted by this game's unique art style, or are a Don't Starve veteran, then I cannot oversell this game to you.
It will easily grant you 50-100 hours of fun depending on your grit.

Past that, there is one caveat. After 200+ hours in this game, I found myself bored by it, as happens naturally with any game. I only play rarely nowadays, and always with friends. Real-life friends who you can share your experiences with and mentor through this challenging game are what makes this game, so if you have a dedicated friend or two to bring along, then I can doubly recommend this.

Either way, this is a must-buy for anyone remotely intrigued.

Sid Meier's Civilization V is a very solid strategy game.
I easily sunk several hundred hours into this game over a few months, and after the initial period of obsession I've still found myself returning to it whenever the craving for a good ol' 4X game manifests.

The game's AI isn't stellar, but it definitely provides a challenge and is only annoying at the lowest and highest levels of difficulty.
Otherwise, it's immersive, has worthwhile DLC, and a robust mod workshop.

Probably worth full price, but if you catch it on sale and are a strategy fan it's a must have.
It still holds up after all these years.

Hours of fun!

As a HoI3 veteran, I can appreciate the simplified mechanics and eye-pleasing graphics that this sequel has to offer. Initially I suspected that HoI4 lacked all of the complexity, strategy, and aura of generalship that came with the previous games, and, to some degree, this is true.
However, with its more streamlined, simplistic gameplay and immersive new features (my personal favorite being the National Focus trees), HoI4 proves to be a great, if casual, wargame.

There is one important caveat: Almost all of the 82 hours I've logged in game have been with mods.

I would say that the majority of the fun of this game comes from playing with mods. The base game is definitely fun, I've played through as a couple nations and will most likely come back to finish all of the majors, but I would likely drop this game after about 10 hours of playtime without the mods.

First of all, let me say I really enjoyed this game, having just finished it.

The mechanics are simple, easy to understand, and not very complex, but the gameplay is very good. Unlike a lot of people, I did not find myself bored half-way through This Is The Police; I enjoyed the entire thing.

The storyline is very rich and interesting, and is vastly different from any other game I've seen before. A very good and original narrative, complete with beautiful artwork. However, without going into spoilers, I must say that I'm disappointed with the story's ending(s).

In addition, there are lots of nice touches, from the aforementioned beautiful graphics to the stunning soundtrack(which is sadly replaced several times during the course of the game :( ) to the superb voice acting.

Overall, I would still highly recommend this game to anyone who seems interested, and isn't bothered by lengthy cutscenes.
