The game-play is straight up fun. It takes a bit of time for the various builds to come online, but it hits the power fantasy notes correctly once they do. The story and characters are also fantastic, and the game does a great job of making you feel like you're part of another world with unique history and culture.

Easy to use and powerful for its intended purpose. It doesn't have an insane amount of features, but it does exactly what you need it to do for the creation of 2D frame-based animations.

I want to preface this review by stating the obvious. Miscreated doesn't boast a large player population and the game has been "put to pasture" by most of its former player-base. That being said, it continues to maintain a small but passionate community and remains one of my all time favorite games. Miscreated is an online open-world survival shooter that feels like a blend of Dayz and Rust. It has relatively robust base building and crafting systems along with extremely fun gun-play. The game-play will have you adventuring through a post-apocalyptic landscape in search of food, water, and other resources as you battle other players and the mutated AI natives of Orca Island. New players often become disillusioned with the idea that there aren't many guns or useful items to be found, but this is largely due to the fact that most gun spawns are not in obvious out in the open places. Guns spawn where weapons would actually be hidden. Search under tables, the sides of beds, inside drawers/cupboards, and many other places. With time, you will learn the spawns and looting up won't be an issue. Experienced players are generally able to find a gun and ammo within minutes of spawning into the game. As with most Online Survival games, players make their own content. It is very common for players to kill each other on sight, but the Miscreated community is far less toxic than Rust. Talk to people, the game is more enjoyable when you play with friends. When I started playing the game, My brother was the only other person I knew. Hundreds of hours later, we had befriended a number of players that banded together to form a powerful 10 man clan. We incited rivalries with other groups and made our own game objectives and goals. For example, we once spent a week collecting up as much police gear as we could (Police hats, police vests, batons, handcuffs, and police squad cars with bulletproof glass and working sirens). We built a base with a makeshift jail and a gladiator arena at the center. We then drove around the island in our squad cars arresting random players for made-up crimes. As it turns out, when four players with M-16s jump out of a police car and tell under-geared solo players to freeze, a lot of them do. We would handcuff them and drive them to our "jail". We would then force the random players into the arena and make them fight to the death, granting freedom and loot to the winner. Your mileage will obviously vary, but if you put in a little effort to make friends in the game, you will be surprised at how much fun it can be.

The Rust community has a reputation for its toxicity. This reputation is well earned, but the game itself is solid. It will be frustrating at first, but if you are a fan of survival/looter shooters this game is worth a try. The "grind" required to progress to the "end-game" gun play can be severely reduced by playing on a 2x resource gain server, which I recommend doing as a new player so that you can quickly progress and experience everything the game has to offer. The base building system in Rust is definitely the best in the genre, and the gun-play has an arcade feel to it that reminds me a lot of Miscreated. The game doesn't have Tarkov level realism, so you are definitely in danger of actually having fun while playing.
