If you are looking for a company who will silence your criticism even if you heap on praise before hand, give this a try. If you want to possibly get banned from presenting shortcomings, or expressing an opinion on the state of it, this will scratch that itch for you.

I consider this a step back from the original TBH. As much as I enjoy the series, I wouldn't recommend this unless it were on a deep discount, even then it's more aggravating than enjoyable for me. It may work better for others with different system set-ups. For the most part I find it unplayable, or just not worth the headache.
I won't attempt to gather the achievements. Simply too frustrating. In both versions blindspots within the field of fire, models that impose obstacles when it shouldn't, and targeting is spongy at best. Allow for an extreme amount of time for turret and reticle to align. Don't expect a tremendous amount of support from the other firing positions, the AI is nominally slanted in favor of the opposing force. At around Wave pre-50, in the prior version I was at my limit with patience, and the lack of competent weapons that pose a large enough threat to maintain the beachfront. While I have seen players reach twice the waves, and have heard of even higher tallies, my hats off to those who can suppress the disappointment in performance, and possess the will to continue in the face of over-whelming odds. I can't seem to find the proper rhythm to enlarge the threat status of the emplacements. The MG don't seem to pack enough punch and the large calibers lack the necessary rate of fire I need to compete. Once they start off-loading 3-4 tanks within each wave, the ebb starting sliding downhill. Weapon switching can be problematic, as it tends to get the previous weapon destroyed once you leave it. The lag between reorientation pits it against a very low preforming AI. Once it re-calibrates the singled out attacks can get brutal. Overall a great series, just lacking the polish of a top shelf contender.

It is just delightful, and apparently I did not pay close enough attention, the first time around. I completely did not know we could 'force' interior courtyards, the lawn fields... gotta go try it! :) >Pop<

Until it reveals itself as something more compelling, I'd let it rest. At this point I do not see any compelling value at full retail. I am still digging, hoping for a glimmer.

Quaint, sublime, simplistic, and thoughtful.

Pretty fun and deep for an idler. It is varied and nuanced, with a great deal of re-playability due to the paths of progression.

If you enjoy this type of game this is well worth the time, the only drawback at this point for myself is the aiming mechanics. Badly askew atm. Immersive, thrilling and compelling. A wonderfully niche perfectly imperfectly realized game. Condensed and fast-paced, a couple decent tunes. I'd like to hear the menu music outside the game sometime. All-in-all if you don't mind a bit of klunky aiming, it really is a rewarding return on investment. I give it all the yes.

Simplistic and structured, not immediately intuitive but it grows quickly. Sublime track, promotes a soothing easy-going city tile puzzle builder. My first attempt almost cleared the top hurdle. Just a few thousand short of the needed city value. I am pretty sure I could pick-up this spare. Controls are sparse, it isn't Maxis after all. But they did well for what you have, and for the price it's worth showing the dev some love for putting forth the effort, and producing a meaningful 'polished' product. If I had a gripe it would be the controls, you can't move forward without following the cursor, but I was soon accustomed to using the bound vertical keys. Just move around holding Q and it's good, or look up just above the horizon, so you don't have to back up and adjust every so often. I'd say try it out, and it's easy enough that a young mind can find joy in it, and possibly learn with deeper meaning. It's a good starting point for game exposure. In around 30min I was able to discern some of the patterns, which make them easy to explain and contextualize, and nearly completing the game. But nothing is pushing you forward, you can assume any pace you wish.

Still in development, the studio and it's staff seem responsive and vigorous to be involved. It seems like a good project, it could still be wonderful after all. Try it!
