I'm just gonna throw my thoughts out here so this isn't gonna be a very organized review. Overall not a bad game at all, especially for a small team. I've never played the original games yet, only seen videos so I would say this is a good way to get into the Timesplitters games (especially for convenience). Soundtrack and weapon variety are especially great. I also really liked a lot of the characters voices lines. Graphics are certainly accurate to ps2 games which is clearly what they're going for but some graphics options should be included like anti aliasing. It's worth noting there are a lot of cool references to classic movies and games such as Terminator and Tomb Raider, gotta love that.

Now I'm gonna get into my suggestions/criticism. Optimization could definitely be improved, I get constant fps drops. Fov slider would be nice. The ai is very basic and notably worse than the original. I get that ai is not easy to get right especially while working with limited resources but getting the ai closer to the original games would be appreciated. The Subway mission has a woman talking through a loudspeaker and my god it's pure earrape on a comedic level. On the Mansion level, I thought it was strange how the maze never changed at different difficulties given the fact that other parts of the map did. It's even more strange that some maps layouts change based on difficulty, but others don't. When you die a menu pops up immediately giving the options to retry or quit. This leads to frequently clicking one of those options my accident because you tend to be shooting when you die.

I feel like I'm forgetting to mention some things but in general TimeShifters is a solid fps reminiscent of the classics with room for improvement. I truly hope this game gets supported for a while. More content and Polish could only result in getting a decent sized community for this game, old fans and new.
