It does not show me the character when it says PRESS ANY BUTTON TO START :(

my friend had the same problem i think and we found out that it could be like this. we think the problem is that the game thinks that you want to play with a controller. we didn`t test it till now but it could be like this. so we think that it should work if you take a controller, then start it with the controller, go to controls when you`re at main menu and activate the keyboard-mouse controls.
