I bought Oblivion few years after palying TES V Skyrim and i can tell you one thing this one is better when i first started this game i shut it off after 10 minutes and few weeks after that i finaly got into it and after few side quest main story follows death of current emperor of tamriel Uriel Septim VII (voiced my excellent Patrick Stewart the guy who played Professor X) and his lost son Martin Septim (voiced by amazing Sean Bean also known as Boromir from LotR) and destiny of whole of Tamriel lies on your back but if you want to take a break from saving the world you can help people of Cyrodill some quests are really funny or some are too dark or you can join famous Figthers Guild and raise in their ranks helping people clearing out dungeons or even hunting big rats or perhaps if you seek magical wisdom you can help mage guildhouses in every major city and then you will be granted membership in the arcane university and gain ranks and arcane knowledge or if you are more stealth oriented you can seek out legendary Thieves Guild and join their ranks gain lot of gold and even help legendary Gray Fox if there is honor among thieves it is definitely membership in thieves guild or if you get bored of stealing you can always seek even darker job member of the Dark Brotherhood be a cold blooded murderer you always wanted to be i can tell you its worth it even if this game is one big meme writing is really good, quests are enjoyable it has great guild storylines and damn some really amazing characters you meet along the way and lot of CHEESE to collect even tho its leveling system could be better but its farily simple and also it has best DLC in the whole series (no im not talking about the horse armor) im talking about THE SHIVERING ISLES where you meet god of madness Sheogorath himself
