So, I'd be remiss if i didn't leave a review after 10k hours on steam... yeah i said on steam... I've been playing this game since it was out on CD ROM Meaning i've played for about 20 years or so. This game is really something else. The singleplayer story is one of my favorites all time hands down. Then you've got Solid DLCs that came later, Shadows of the Undrentide and hoards of the underdark both absolutely amazing storytelling. So much to find and see hidden away and multiple endings some even hidden away.

It doesn't end there, Once you've finished with single player and even played some of the community DLCs some of them are amazing... There are numerous multiplayer servers that exist with dedicated DMs and communities bringing Toril and Faerun to life across various different locations and planes.

Yeah this game is old... Yeah most people probably won't see this review because its kinda obscure but if you do... Well i cannot give it a good enough review i mean look at my hours and then realize i've spent more on CD Rom... That says enough when you can't even get 500 outa most modern games... So give it a shot if you are looking for something new.

So i am gonna make this simple the main reason i am downvoting this game is extremely poor optimization. The game spikes upward of 700 ping and 30% packet loss during expeditions and versus. I have a computer capable of running things like star citizen on max graphics, i have internet speed with 40meg up and down and i can't do a dang thing at all. Its absolutely infuriating to try and play the game when you are rubberbanding around. I'll happily change the review when they fix this. Because is 100% isn't on my end.

So its not that the game is bad, Its kinda cash grabby in all honesty. Yeah its a free game I got it. But its a bit more than i'm comfortable with. Battle pass, Operators, Skins all can be gotten with money. The Operators (Rogues.) Take to dang long to unlock with rep. which you get by watching a hand full of adds, completing 3 contracts a day or leveling up for anywhere from 75-500 rep. Operators cost on average 15k. I unlocked my first 15k Operator at level 30. you need 10 total to do ranked.

Some issues about the game itself its multi platform and allows heavy aim assist to the other platforms. Meaning a PC Phantom is substantially less effective than a PS4 phantom. I've watched to good ones go head to head one occasionally misses headshots the other does nothing but headshot because of the aim assist. Also the snipers in this game feel really janky due to how fast past it is. Its horribly punishing to use one. >.> Which is usually what i main... If you wanna play a game similar to CSGO or Valorant this is very similar but i am not a fan.

Hello there, I am going do my best to outline why i feel this game deserves a heavy recommendation despite some of the bad press this game has gotten.

For starters this game is in early access, Much like ark was when it first came out on steam. Unlike ark this game runs on a better engine making the combat and movement much smoother and nicer to look at which is a large plus because you spend much of your time in third person normally though for you few that like first person there is an option to do so.

This game has very good structure to it. Unlike ark which was an absolute #$@% show from the start and still is to some a large degree. This games devs Donkey Team, Are clearly dedicated to improving the game with bug fixes regularly along with additional content which also gets balanced regularly to keep everything in line and keep anything from getting terribly bugged. All in all putting this game up against early access ark, ark gets blow out of the atmosphere.

Another big selling point for this game is the devs hard stance against any form of cheating. They have begun banning permanently those who use exploits, Most recently dupers were not only banned, The tribes that used them were wiped and reset to level one for the violation of the rules. This dev team takes cheating very seriously and is constantly looking to make sure that no one is making the game unfair for anyone else! Plus when they ban people they are super snarky in their next update notes which is pretty hilarious.

Finally this games biggest problem was the zergging that certain clans did. Notably, Team Casualty. OwO and CSTG. There are now servers within the game with a clan cap while not a hard cap it heavily punishes those who go over making you consume water at an alarming rate making something as simple as walking extremely hazardous to your health. On an unreleated note to the dev team. One of the largest Zergging clans. Has recently disbanded and fractured into many smaller groups reducing the zerg issue drastically. The only major zergging group really left is CSTG which most groups actively band together to kill on sight should they appear in a region outside of Asia.


All in all i would give this game a 7 out of 10 so far. But the game is constantly getting better! So i am sure given time this game will reach its full potential! It is most certainly worth the asking price as i have 323 hours in this game and i am no where near done playing it. For reference i played ark for over 10k hours on ps4 and i am likely going to end up doing the same dang thing here!

So i've played this game for 43 hours and i've gotta say despite its reputation i can't rightly recommend this game to anyone sadly. Here is why.

In my time playing this game, Every match i've played has had atleast 1 hacker using some for of cheat. Walling, Aimbot something. Most don't even try to hide it. Valve even admits that there is an average of 1 hacker per casual game, Yet despite them saying they are aware of the problem they haven't upgraded their anti cheat. Also a large part of the time when you run into a hacker the team that has them refuses to kick them at all! If you try to kick the hacker it is likely you will get counter kicked and lose all your xp for the match.

If you don't wanna deal with getting shot through walls that aren't meant to be shot through or don't want someone running around with a desert eagle insta headshotting everyone while staring out of the ground. I heavily advice you look elsewhere for you fun.

Sorry Valve this game has good bones but you gotta crack down on the hacker issues...

Ps. You get heavily reduced XP if you play for long periods of time. (I'm talking like 11 xp for a match instead of your normal amount which is garbage.)

So let me start off with i haven't played this game enough to hit level 300 like some people which is pretty crazy. Thankfully it makes no difference. So with this review i will outline the pros and cons of this game.

PROS:
1. Lack of hackers... Yeah thats right, I've yet to see a single aimbotter, waller or any other method of cheating in this game. Thats huge!
2. Good community, I've played alot of FPS games in my time and this one has a very nice community i'd say in terms of the fps world its about as far from toxic as you can get.
3. High customization, Weapon camos, Character items, Weapon attachments and even score streak customization. You can pick how you want to function and look in this game.
4. Fairly well balanced. I've yet to come across anything that is stupidly broken.
5. Weapon progression system. As you use weapons you unlock more attachments for them meaning you don't have to buy attachments like some fps games.
6. YOU CAN AIM DOWN SIGHTS ON ALL GUNS. I hate in same games when your forced to do nothing but hipfire.
7. NO PAY TO WIN! WOOT

CONS:
1. Small playerbase. Yeah there aren't alot of people here you will likely bump into the same people a few times.
2. Attachment Values shown can be misleading. It says that they only increase a weapon stat by 1-3 points but its quite huge to the overall usage of the weapon.
3. Some score streaks take god tier play to be able to use in game. IE. The Zues drone. Super powerful but it requires 4400 points scored. (44 kills. 88 assists or whatever you wanna bbreak it down as. I've only gotten it once. In an obj based game where you can point spam.)
4. No voice chat yet. You have to use Discord or teamspeak or whatever.

All and all i would say i would recommend this game to others. I like it more than CS:GO because of the distinct ability to play games without hackers. Hopefully this game gets a larger following and it will grow. I can already see if it does this will become a heavily competitive game.

This is an extremely hard game to rate for many factors. First and foremost it comes from a very small developer, For the number of people that are actually actively coding for this game it has done beautifully. Were this an AAA title it would likely be much more balanced than it currently is and would have more content than it currently does. This more or less moves onto my next point, Some of this game is well balanced, Certain weapons perform as they should, While others are utterly and completely broken from the core outward. Some of the maps are also completely screwed on balance. After having played long enough you can tell which team is most likely to win based on the map and the teams spawn locations. The composition of each team matters much less than in tactical based games as every fight outside of a 1v1 devolves into an utter fluster cuck. I will not that i have never been so angry at a game or laughed so hard at a game and its content. Sadly the community is just caustic I've played alot of games in my time but i have never seen one that goes down this many toxic rabbit holes. Personally it doesnt bother me but if you are easily offended i suggest you not pick this game up at all. However if you enjoy screwing around, Raging and laughing your butt off at times this is a fairly good pick. Sadly it does grow old rather quick if you are playing on your own so it is probably best you join the discord.

Personally i am going to give this game a thumbs up, As personally i wish to encourage the developers to continue their work and to make more content for the game. Should this game really take off again it is possibly with proper money management that it could compete with a AAA game in my opinion. Also there are no loot boxes and that is huge...
