The game is great. Unfortunately, I lost my 54 hour save game from the server "somehow". I also had Achievements that have disappeared. I'm not willing to invest any more time into this, so off to the next game...

Looking at my play time, I think you could say I enjoy this game. The ship battles are turn based which I love. And all the other aspects are very enjoyable to me. You have a nice map to work with. You do have to complete the initial campaign chapter to open all options. Each chapter is challenging but not impossible. Each faction has nicely interesting perks. The Fame tree is interesting and probably 80% the same for everyone. Just that last 20% is the faction perks. Playing "Free Games" allows you to set parameters to your liking. I would suggest starting with the easiest settings just to have a nice walk through, understand the basics and get some Achievements while you're at it. Then you can up the difficulty at your leisure.
Its understanding basic supply chains (The game tutorial basically tells you how not to lose), turn based naval battles, while throwing in some piracy to make things interesting. I would suggest playing "Warehouse Optional" as well. It really messed me up at first. They can be very helpful or mess up your whole game plan. I would give an 8.5 out of 10. I saw the mixed reviews but it seemed like something I would enjoy and I was right!

Its a fun game. It looks like the best way to start is on a new server. They have a nice ladder setup for someone to level up pretty quickly in those 1st 2 weeks I think it is. After that it is a daily grind and things slow down tremendously. I caught the last week of the server I started on and got to 4th on the server before I realized I would never catch up to those 1st 3 in rank. It is a Champion collecting game with lots of little daily options. Once the grind starts at a snails pace, that's it for me. I'll try something else now.

For me, this is a great Idle game...

-- It's an Idle game so you can click a few things, pop off for awhile then pop back on
-- The evolution tree is quite long, meaning you have lots you can work on
-- You can work on getting bigger and better boats
-- Did I mention??...It's FREE
-- You can hire and fire other fishermen as you progress, getting better and better employees
-- There are Pets that give varying bonuses. You can upgrade those as well
-- There are mini games to give you various rewards
-- The progress tree is nicely thought out. Since it IS an idle game it will last for quite some time before you hit any kind of wall
-- Speaking of walls, I haven't come across any kind of paywall. There are of course things you can buy, Avatars, money and pet eggs, but you don't HAVE to. You earn a lot while you are playing normally.
-- The backgrounds are quite nice, the people are a little like ROBLOX...but who cares??
-- I would give this an 8 out of 10
-- it's been updated and tripled in size!

Really wish Steam made a Neutral button, This is a Champ collectible game. The beginning is a tad sexy then...thats been it so far. Looks like there might be some champ sexiness when you get really far into end game. Cute champ avatars. 1st ever game that I have seen a $500 transaction in-game. Plain ridiculous. Play ability is standard, nothing to write home about. I would say 4 or 5 out of 10.

Hopefully this will help someone. This is usually my game of choice. turn based play... I just tried to start playing and the amount of micromanaging is just crazy. I couldn't even get grasp of the mechanics, and I catch on pretty quick. Plus, I need reading glasses for my reading glasses trying to read anything in the micro-print of the game. Maybe someday Ill give it a shot but, I got better games to play.

You can see by the Hype video, its a very basic mannequin type graphics in combat. Its got all the basics that every other PVE and PVP game out there has but its just very sub par. Really wish Steam had a neutral button. This is an OK game. Its not bad. Just so many others out there so much more fun to waste time on. Ill give it a positive just because its not horrendous.

This is an alternative Stellaris, Master of Orion and some of those other decent turn based exploration/conquer space games. I like the twist this game puts on things. Its interesting and fun IMO. There are some complaints from others about broken mechanics. I dont really think there is. Everything comes together nicely with the Base Game and the Vaulters DLC plus the little free DLCs. I am enjoying it and would recommend it "IF" you like turn-based content. If you dont, this isnt for you. I would say...8 out of 10.

Its very similar to Stellaris or Master of Orion but its very much toned down(easier). If you like Turn based, this is for you. I played 2 games in 8 hours or so. I would recommend. 7 out of 10 for turn based.

This is basically a cartoonish version of Evony in my opinion. Its been easy to get lost in. Fun and interesting tasks and leveling up. It has some fun twists on a couple things but In the end, its PVP and a total money dump. If you don't come out on top in the 1st week, you're done on that server. All you'll be doing is farming resources to give to the Alpha Alliance on the server. Micro-transactions are everywhere for everything. A minimum investment of $500 US is probably a good figure for what you would have to spend to be competitive. I spent like $100 and my Alliance sucked and disbanded. That was my shot at Glory in this game lol. In the End, what you think you are playing to begin with, turns into a PVP game.
