I have been playing video games since I was 8 years old. My journey started from 8-bit games and few games on PC at my friend's house back in the day such as The House of the Dead, Commander Keen, Genocide. Not long after that, something came over me when I saw my friend play Age of Empires II on his PC. It was true obsession and love for me. It was as if I was born for the sole purpose of playing that game and I remember dreaming about the game everyday - building walls, setting up defenses and creating fascinating units like the trebuchet. I had to wait for four years or so, till my dad bought me my first PC. It was an excruciating wait. But getting my own PC and playing Age of Empires on it, day in and day out, is the most unforgettable memory in my life and those were the good times making me realise how happy, games made me feel. From Age of Empires, it was Age of Mythology, NFS Hot pursuit 2, Fifa, Max Payne, Manhunt which were some of the titles that i enjoyed most and that comes to my mind right now. Subsequently, I got a PS2 and the games were spectacular. When games couldn't get any better, I played Elder Scrolls Oblivion on the PC and fell in love with it instantly (I remember how the game made me feel when I made my way out of the sewer for the first time). It was pure ecstasy. I remember owning a GeForce FX5200, 8600GT, ATI Radeon HD5770, XFX R9 280X over the years. I am in my thirties at present and I like playing all kinds of games now but truly enjoy the ones with a good narrative. I kind of lack the same drive I used to have, to play games which are 100hrs+. However, I am more than willing to give it a go if it is an exeptional title. Quality over quantity is something I am looking for in a game these days, as other aspects in life demand my attention.
